If you're sincere in your wanting respect for cultures and religions, you should know that bible believing followers of Jesus Christ are offended by voodoo dolls, which the bible states is absolutely affiliated with Satan.

 

I didn't post a picture of something that is offensive of someone elses' culture or religion. Get off me. I am not concerned whether or not you believe what I do, but don't try to tell me that I am being disrespectful of someone elses culture or religion by respectfully asking that a picture of a voodoo doll isn't posted as it is offensive to me and what I believe.

 

If you'd rather just be a jerk about it, giver. Class act.

 

It's a picture on a message board that references a classic baseball movie. If that offends you how do you get through daily life?

It offended me enough to respectfully ask for it to not be posted every game. Not much more than that. I am used to seeing and hearing things in everyday life which offend me. I get by just fine. The overall consensus from Talksox on the subject is pretty clear. We can leave it at that, or everyone can just keep ganging up on me because I worship God. Whatever makes you feel better about yourself.

Game 1 I was at work. Game 2 I was in the ER (just a migraine, thought it was a mini stroke, I'm 28, scary stuff, thankfully it's ok). This is the first game that ill be on the boards.

 

If we lose, it's my fault.

I don't think you understand. I could care less that you worship God, to each their own. My issue is that because of YOUR beliefs you want others to adjust their posting habits.

There's nothing wrong with being religious, and your beliefs are not the reason I attacked you. You simply made an ignorant statement about another religion, a statement that showed you have zero knowledge of what it actually is (outside of what the media has told you).

 

Voodoo dolls are not actually part of the Voodoo culture. They're part of European witchcraft, and the name was created by an American.

 

As an analogy: Voodoo dolls are to Voodoo as Fortune cookies are to Chinese food.

Did anybody see an update on Kuroda? Just wondering if he ended up cracking a bone in that finger. I was not surprised to see it go numb. I would also not be surprised if they eventually found a crack in there.

I simply asked someone to stop posting a picture of something that offended me. I didn't want others to adjust their posting habits because of my beliefs. It was more a respect thing, which I didn't demand or ask for unreasonably. I did so respectfully, and it was then taken further without my doing. I am over it. Hope you can be, someday.
