And just think how anxiously we've been waiting for this.

It's like cutting without the blood. Sometimes I think we all get off on the pain.

Sorry guys but I can't be that impressed with Dempster so far. He is up too much and four walks in 4 1/3 innings just not going to get it done.

he's going to have some walks because he lives on the black. Only a couple of the pitches he left up got squared up. I would assume his next start will be better. But of course you should never assume anything in baseball.

Dempster isn't looking too terrible tonight, but the offense decided to take the night off looks like.

They had chances, out at home, and 2 double plays ends all the rallies.

You not watch last night?

Haha I did, more of a joke than anything. He's doing much better than I had expected him to by far.

Pettitte is pretty much a master of junkballing now.

Careful with the word junk. We wouldn't want Josh Hamilton to hear you and do something stupid.

If you saw that head and shoulders commercial, I'd say that's pretty f***ing stupid.

I thought it wasn't that bad, but don't shoot me for saying that.

I hate Cervelli. I wish Victorino had come into home with spikes flying and opened up Cervelli's face.

Yes, as do I, but head first sliding gives you more momentum and speed.

Not really sure how he didn't get Posey'd

The preseason juice on Dempster was that he would keep us in games against the lower tier teams and possibly even dominate them, ala current Yankees. However he would really struggle with the better teams. At least I think I see where that is coming from. The better hitting teams will square up more of those pitches up in the zone and if you have walked guys ahead of them...well

He just cannot live up in the zone. Not as vulnerable as Cook but his balls that are up are not moving very much and if there are too many of them I doubt that will play against the better hitting teams. The lesser teams probably can't hurt him that badly when he is up and he is effective when he keeps the ball down. Has guys swinging at balls in the dirt.
