Lmao, great comeback. So the posters who said s*** like "I'll lose both of my balls just to see the Red Sox win", do they lose points? The people who lost points were the dumbasses who thought I was serious. I was in high school, you honestly believed me? You just say stupid s*** that makes Skip Bayless look like the smartest person in the world. As long as you're a Yankees fan on this site, I'll continue to bash you. Suck it up puss, there's more coming.

Lets not embarass him again. He already lost major points when he said the Yankees coming back from beating the Rangers would be "the greatest comeback in ALCS history"

Pot, meet kettle. I'm still waiting for MLB TV

Divinity's comment is still dumber, and he's still stealing others' material.

regardless, I thought Rivera's cutter has been the best signature pitch since the 90's, I didn't just reach that conclusion after reading an article a day or two ago.

at the time I made that comeback comment I was just trying to get under certain Sox fan's skin more than I honestly believed it to be true in my mind.

i had made my peace with this after 2011, because i was sure he was going to call it then...hope he and the team go out and have a great season....not looking forward to the day, but until the close of the 2013 season.......Enter Sandman...

Mariano's cutter is the greatest signature pitch of all time, better than Nolan Ryan's fastball, Roger Clemen's splitter, Sandy Koufax's curveball and Pedro Martinez's changeup.
i don't know...Pedro's change was sick...

Red Sox to honor Mariano Rivera on Sunday

Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff September 12, 2013 10:23 AM

The Red Sox, as expected, will pay tribute to Yankees closer Mariano Rivera in a pregame ceremony at Fenway Park on Sunday. It will be the final regular-season game at Fenway for the 43-year-old Rivera, who announced he would retire after the season.

Rivera has appeared in 55 regular-season games at Fenway Park, the most for an opposing reliever in the park's 102 seasons.

Fans coming to Sunday’s game, scheduled to start at 8:05 p.m., are invited to be seated by approximately 7:30 p.m. A limited number of tickets are still available for the game.

In July, Rivera met with a group of long-time Red Sox employees, some Jimmy Fund patients and two victims of the Marathon bombings for a private question-and-answer session. He has hosted such events at all parks this season as his way of paying tribute to fans around the game.

Of all the Yankees, he seems like a good dude. When he tipped his hat to the Fenway crowd when being introduced, I knew I couldn't hate him as much as I wanted to. Glad he's retiring though!

I don't know why Red Sox would hate Mo anyway. He has a 78% save rate against Boston, so we really shouldn't have the perspective of this world-beating closer that the rest of the league does.

Yeah the Red Sox have never been particularly kind to Rivera. Mariano's career numbers would probably look a lot better were it not for some punishing outings against the Sox.
