Just read the weei blurbs. Guess he was pissed Bobby used the closer, Bailey, to close the game the other night instead of him. Tore off his Jersey, slammed Bobby's door later and demanded a meeting with Ben Cherrington. Apparently Cherrington told him he was to busy (working on LA deal) to meet with him.

Why didn't this happen when the varsity was here? I don't care how much money some of these dudes were making, if you have a problem with authority go complain to the MLBPA and I bet even they would tell Beckett and company to shut up and play.

Aceves threw a sh__ load of pitches the game before and gave up the farm. If Bailey was the closer before he got hurt, and is the closer of the future, why wait to see if he can handle the job in Boston. Aceves for the most part has pitch well in his two years here, but he is not a closer because when he is bad he is bad. He has 7 or 8 blown saves. Not winning anything when your closer does that. The role he had last year is perfect for him. He wants to pitch a lot which is great, but he is not a closer.

He's better suited in other roles than closing, It's good he's passionate but they traded for Bailey to close, he's going to get that job either this year or next year. Alfredo's only chance was to put up numbers like Chapman like numbers where they can't take him out as closer.

In late inning and close game situations, the Sox bull pen is one of the worst in the league. Aceves has been a big part of the problem.

Again, happy to see he is passionate enough to get worked up - but I should have clarified that it is rediculous to get that upset considering:

 

- He knew he was a temp until Bailey came back

- He shat the bed the night prior (and lately in general)

I agree that was a disaster. That is one game that I can say that I was very angry at.
