That could be an option. I like his numbers down in the Minors, but I would have a backup just in case he doesn’t translate to the bigs.

Fair enough. He does deserve a look at least

How about Jackie Bradley in LF. It's a rebuilding stage. Let the team grow as the prospects grow. We'll be thankful down the road

If you bring a player up too early, you run the risk of losing them or burning a year of control when they arent ready. Bradley starts 2013 in AAA and probably doesnt come up regardless until June so they can get that extra yr of control. Unless the sox do something organizationally insane in the offseason, 2013 will be a rebuild yr. If they get Bradley, Barnes and Bogaerts on the Fenway field by September, they will be very happy.

When to bring up young kids to the show is always one of those tough questions. You bring them up to early and they don't produce they could lose their confidence and be ruined for you. If it going to be a bridge year I don't see the Sox rushing everyone and will be looking at one year contracts to fill in the wholes.

The Sox should go make an offer to the Angels for Trumbo to play 1B.

They'll likely have to include some front line prospects, but they likely have the prospects to do it. They can also deal Ellsbury in the deal, because Trumbo is currently playing LF, if they need to.

Not sure he'd be available, but I'm not sure how much the Angels like having him in LF because of his defense.

It's at least worth checking into. That's the kind of player the Sox need to pursue, and now that Pujols is there, they may listen on Trumbo.

It's definitely worth looking into, but I'd much rather use the front line prospects for a guy like Felix if given the choice.

This team has always been at its best when the pitching is solid. Offense has never been a major issue with this organization recently. There will be enough options in the offseason to fill the holes on offense than there will be for the pitching.

I see the point you make definitely, but Bradley and Bogaerts have almost too much confidence in themselves. Can't speak on Barnes haven't watched him as closely as the others. Barnes is in a different situation right now though. I feel like he's way behind Bradley and Bogaerts and that's not just cause he's still in A Ball. I just feel like he hasn't taken that next step like they have. I don't think that they will break down and lose all faith in themselves if they struggle a bit. I mean it's to be expected that's the point to get them experience at this level. I'd be happy with Bogaerts and Bradley by September, but i'd be ecstatic if I saw them have Great- to even mild success within the first months of the season. If Bogaerts hits let's say .250-.270 from April to June i'd rather that then him hitting .290-.310 in AA or AAA in that time span. I like to bring up the pups early and get them experience. I understand most people don't prefer that method including most MLB front offices, but that's just me
