Oh, there's no doubt that tek was the team leader for years , and was exceptional at blocking balls in the dirt etc.... Just seems like we've the stolen base jackpot for yrs for opposing teams.... Hard to believe its been all our catchers though.... But then again, we've had a revolving door of coaches too....idk

Redsox pitchers have always been discouraged from using the slide step, which is a disadvantage to the catchers.

 

Salty, for all his faults that I despise, actually has a good throwing arm.
