I do though, or at least the THOUSANDS of posts I have read over the past 5 YEARS of my life. If you haven't accurately portrayed your views regarding this team in those selections then my apologies. But you and a group of posters have made this board extremely unenjoyable to read lately and it makes discussion pointless when there is a ring of people who are constantly harping on the same straw man opinions.

If you say Ellsbury and Crawford don't give a f***, that is a baseless opinion unless you know them personally. Otherwise I'd have to assume a professional baseball player whose job is to play baseball does in fact give a f*** about baseball.

If you don't like it then leave, but don't attack me personally.

So this is okay then. GFY. ;);):D

Yep! See, the players don't post out here. I'm more familiar with how people post/act out here. So I choose to crap on them for their posts. I was joking with YOU.

You and I have been cool for a while. Please don't worry what I say to OTHER posters. If their skin isn't thick enough, they'll put me on ignore.

This season sucks and there appears to be NO light at the end of the tunnel. I just try to find the positive even when it doesn't seem to exist. That's me, shoot me.

I'm not attacking you personally, I am attacking your opinions which is the point of a discussion board.

I was cool with what you were saying even though I disagree completely with your point of view on this particular issue. I think I should be able to disagree with you on this. Listen, there was huge issue about apathy on last year's team. I think some people see a carryover from last year. I know that I do. I think that is a legitimate opinion. I also think it really doesn't look good for AGon to take himself out of the game without being injured. That is also a legitimate opinion in light of the questions about the heart of this team.

Finally, A GFY even with a wink just ain't cool.

Ok. We will agree to disagree. And I apologize that I offended you with the GFY wink.

I am so disappointed in this organization for the way it has treated what is a baseball gem....the Boston Red Sox. To them it has become a brand and they don't even know how to protect it as a brand. I hope people start returning those damned bricks and bats right through their office windows.

I am to the point where i would just as soon they bring up all the kids so that I can watch them play. At least I won't be forced to look at the results of their oddball ideas about team building and a result of millions of wasted dollars in payroll spent in an effort to dazzle us with star quality as opposed to impress us with solid team play and just plain good baseball.

While in my history as a Sox fan the Sox have fielded worse teams....some of them much worse, they were not embarrassing teams....this team is embarrassing. The Sox have had owners that were not nearly as smart as these owners, not nearly as well heeled as these owners but they would have sooner hung themselves than do what these clowns have done to this team.

Sorry for the rant. That vision of those goons sitting up in the owners box the other night, fat dumb and happy is stuck in my head and I am having a very difficult time getting it out. I know it was their shop when we won two WS but that does not excuse them for what they have done since.

Tito was lucky that he got off this sinking ship.

He has to know that all too well. But the failure in Sept 2011 had nothing to do with him. That's apparent now IMO. Another thing that is IMO, Lucchino needs to go. If he cares anything about this team, he might. But the fat money is still too good to let go.

I assume we all saw that schedule NESN just put up. No Mariners or Athletics or Twins comin' up for these guys. Blue Jays are the soft spot for the next month because their starting pitching has been gutted.

Disagree, I think Tito played a huge role in the September collapse. The articles that would come out after were pretty damning in that respect

You may be right. But what's the problem now? This season, at this point, is much worse than last season.

He's overweight without a doubt' date=' he's 6'2 and weights 225 lbs. That makes his Body Mass Index 28.9. Once you hit 30 or above you're considered obese.[/quote']

VA wears those photoshop glasses. Depending on which team a guy plays for he could be in peak shape or old and decrepid.

Of course he is fat and out of shape. Its not even debateable.

Great game, great series, great season by a group of loser has-beens.

Now its time to clean house.

Boy this kid Ciriaco makes good things happen. He caught my eye in Spring Training. I hope he sticks with the club.

Tito was one piece of it. I would say Beckett, Lester, and Lackey were the rest of the problem. Based on the Sox's terrible record in Beckett/Lester games and 32-20 record in non-Beckett/Lester games, I would say they are still the problem.

If my Dad saw AGo run, he would just call hi a lard ass. He used to call Boomer Scott a lard ass, and he could run laps around AGon. He certainly looks out of shape, and he is one of the slowest runners on the Red Sox. Maybe Orlando Cepeda was slower, but he had two very bad post-op knees when we got him.

This is the type of attitude many fans rightfully will begin to express if this team continues to falter. I love how you mention the brand and ownership's responsibility as stewards to protect it. They have taken the desire to grow the brand to the forefront of their focus and put fielding a winning team in the backseat.

When will they realize that all of their economic escapades are soley dependent on fielding a winning team? Somewhere along the line, they lost track of that idea and decided that the equity they had built into the Red Sox brand over the years (winning 2 WS, renovating Fenway, 100 years, etc) would keep the fan base in good spirits if the product on the field was subpar.

There is nothing wrong with promoting these ancillary causes when they are in ADDITION to placing a winning team on the field. This does not even account for the awful off the field issues that continue to consume and follow this team from last year.
