Yaz would never leave a game with an illness. I remember one time against the Yankees he was running in from LF at full speed between innings like Pete Rose. I found out later that he had diarhea the entire game and was barely making iyt back to the clubhouse between innings.

Why is Salty swinging at curve balls....he is not going to hit them. Just sit dead red especially if you are going to swing for the fences which is still I think the best way for him to hit. But, swinging at curve balls is not going to get anything done but add to his K totals. I suspect everybody notices that those are skyrocketing lately.

Sit dead red, if you have to protect with two strikes try to foul it off but SWING at fastballs.

You know, I miss JD Drew just because of the plethora of Yaz stories you would tell. Kind of.

I sure hope it doesn't turn out that he left the game because of a cold.

That would almost be like Manny refusing to play because of his knee hurt, though when asked he couldn't remember which one.

Another useless reference but what the hell.

What's worst, Michael Jordan playing with the flu or Gonzalez leaving a game because he has the sniffles?

I did that once in middle school when I wanted to get out of a class. I passed it off as a joke.

Jeter is having a bad night and Cano is only DHing. If we dont win this one I'll be pissed.

Is there a f***ing umpire in the whole league that doesn't squeeze pitchers to give jeter his walk or cheap single? It's disgusting.

Its a sign of the kind of clubhouse problems this team has. They are a very soft team with no sense of commitment to the team concept. Its really unimaginable.

LMAO who's that guy on the front row with an Angels cap? I find that odd and hilarious at the same time.

Do you remember that episode of Manny being Manny?

They were playing the Yankees and Manny refused to play (the real reason was contract issues: he was afraid the team would exercise its option for the upcoming year and he wanted to become a FA) saying his knee hurt. So the Sox ordered an MRI and when they asked Ramirez which knee hurt, he couldn't remember. So they MRI'd BOTH knees.

Despite it being an incredibly selfish move, I still laughed my ass off.

Have you ever tried Popeye's extra crispy with a cold one?

I thought not.

You might want to run back to the clubhouse instead of sweating your balls off on a baseball field too.

If this group had any sense of commitment to themselves as a team, they would be a top 5 ML team capable of deep playoff runs each year. It's silly to me that they can't recognize that and put their petty issues aside.
