:blink::thumbsup:

I agree though, we really do need a good utility player. I really wish Iglesias was ready for the majors. Aviles could then take over Punto's role. The thing that sucks is that Punto is here next year too. His contract was only 2 years for 3 million, so it is not like we are losing a lot of money if we DFA him.

If the sox hope for a chance at the AL East' date=' they have to win the series. They're down 8 games and they just lost their team leader. A series loss here would be devastating for the sox and would likely put them into sell mode at the break[/quote']

First of all, there is no way we are winning this series the way we are constructed right now. If we aren't swept, we might win one game. We are poised to drop back to .500 this weekend and I can't say anyone is too happy about a gloating yankee fan on here right now. All I can say is that I hope your whole starting rotation ends up getting Tommy John surgery by the end of the season. Enjoy.

Sox have a tendancy to play down to their weaker opponents. Beckett will be on point tonight. Sox win 3 of 4.

3 0f 4?

Smoke that crack yo.

Didn't you hear? The Sox just wanted everyone to think they sucked for the first 3 months of the season to give them a false sense of security. They just grew a bunch of talent on their day off yesterday, smooth sailing from here on out.

We're winning this series ladies and gents. Prepare yourselves for that.

I love the enthusiasm fellas :thumbsup:

Let's hope those times are more good than bad.

We got the pitching matchups on our side' date=' let's hope josh can bring his a game and live up to that billing tonight.[/quote']

I admit that this series will be a good test to see just how good our pitching really is. If our staff surrenders runs early in the game or surrenders more than five runs a game for most of these games, that should tell us something. Likewise, if they can hold the Yankees to under five runs a game, that too should be telling.

The games will be entertaining to a degree (unless the Yankees get way ahead early), but I don't think this series means much unless we sweep them. And that is highly unlikely.

This is how I'm feeling as well. Hoping Josh pitches like he did against the Yanks early last year. That was a clinic.
