They can do that retroactively if it becomes obvious that he cannot play in a few days.

If I was a betting man, I'd say he plays Wednesday, takes the off day Thursday, plays Friday and Saturday (night), and Sunday. Then takes a week off and is 100% on Friday in TB.

I agree Iggy should be up, and Aviles should play 3B. Poor Iggy may be caught in a power struggle, and he may never get to Boston.

I would think that 3rd should be Mike's best defensive position...He has range to his left...and the ball might get to him so quickly at third that it is going to clang off his chest and land in front of him more often than not anyway allowing him to pick it up and show off that arm across the diamond. I would actually like to see that.

It baffles me that our FO thinks Punto is a viable replacement players.

 

It's just like... give Iggy a chance!! Punto needs to retire and sell socks on corner somewhere.
