Who needs Ells? Time to package Ells & Youk for King Felix or other SP for WS push next year.

I'd say the same for CC but he's ours for 6.5 more seasons.

Face meet palm.

The other way to look at it is that its unlikely Nava can keep this up. Could we package him with Youkilis to get some quality pitching....?

Agonz is so fouled up at this point it almost looks like he needs to sit down just to rid himself of all this muscle memory he is building up for the wrong s***.

Don't take my observation literally but man is he fouled up right now.

Yup. 6 walks in his last 9 games.

I could understand the anti-gonzo hyperbole if he'd played like this last year but the truth is he OBP'd .410 and hit close to 30 homers with over 115 driven in. The guy was an MVP candidate.

I wish Magaden would just go up to him and say "Stop thinking. Just hit the ball."

Wow...great win. This game was won by the kids: Middlebrooks, Nava, and Kalish, along with some great RP from Atchison and Ace. The fat cats on the team keep filling spots in the lineup, but its the kids that have the enthusiasm to produce wins

That was last year. I think we can stipulate that last year he was very very good. This year he is injured, pressing, or both. He has sucked and he earns too much money to suck.

BTW: Rays down 5-2 in the 9th. We will be two games behind the Rays in the lost column.

This team was on the precipice but has come back nicely. Still in the race.

I honestly think he was pressing early, trying to do too much, and carry the team. Got into some bad habits. If the Sox can rip off a big winning streak, and Gonzo get's consistent playing time at 1B rather than swapping between 1B and RF, and get a few consecutive days off during the ASB to get his mind right, he'll turn back into the guy we saw last year.

I really think he'll see the ASB as kind of a "reset button".
