Yeah, he's waiting to pad his stats until we are mathmatically eliminated. There is no way he can make up for the damage he has done to this team for the first nearly three months. Not for what he is being paid.

So if he goes on a tear, hits 23 HR in the 2nd half of the year, ends up hitting .285/.395/.540, leads the Red Sox to the 2nd WC. Then in the play in game, goes 3-4 with 2 HR and 5 RBI, he wouldn't make up for the damage? Because that is an entirely possible scenario.
