Blake Beaven 1-3 4.32 ERA

Vs

Josh Beckett 2-4 5.97 ERA

Gametime: 4:05

Definition: Winning - Originated from the great Charlie Sheen; used to describe what the Red Sox are currently doing; used to describe what the Mariners are not doing.

Beckett had a bad outing last time out but he'll make up for it today. The offense will continue to roll. Lets make it 5 in a row today!

Sorry again for no pictures, I'm at school and can't do it from my ipod.

If I hear one more goddamn Charlie Sheen winning reference in my life I am going to blow my face off

Clearly we have defeated this earthworm with our words... imagine what we would have done with our fire-breathing fists!

Maybe this little win streak we have had as of late will light a fire under Becketts Ass to not suck today..... I dunno.... Offense is probably going to have to win this game.

I'm surprised Shoppach isn't catching Beckett.

I think it's just because they don't like catchers doing a night game and a day game back-to-back.

Youkilis to AAA; Doubront OK after scare

Posted by Michael Silverman at 1:02 pm

Third baseman Kevin Youkilis tomorrow will begin what is expected to be a relatively short rehab assignment with Pawtucket (AAA). Manager Bobby Valentine said that Youkilis will DH and have three at-bats at Durham, before slowly being integrated into his third base position.

In other news, pitcher Felix Doubront was hit by a fly ball in the right ear in the outfield prior to batting practice, and the incident sent him down to the ground. Dustin Pedroia came running into the Red Sox clubhouse shouting for doctors to come out and two came racing out. Doubront slowly got to his feet and then walked off the field under his own power, rubbing the right side of his head.

Valentine said that Doubront was tested right away and that he was fine. “When you come off the field, you hold your breath,” said Valentine.

* Adrian Gonzalez was shagging flies in right field, Mauro Gomez in left in anticipation of interleague duty on the next road trip. The two first basemen, particularly Gonzalez, could lose playing time at their natural position in order to allow David Ortiz play there in NL parks.

I would think that Youkilis will probably be back for the weekend series against the Phillies.

I suspect that Tim Wakefield hit the ball that nailed Doubront. Wakefield is at Fenway today.

I suppose we have to have faith in Beckett. Well all enjoyed him getting shelled by the Guardians & booed by Fenway, but it's time for him to turn it around. If Beckett is really the texan tough guy he makes up to be then he will want to show everyone he's not a bitch, which he is currently acting like.

WINN! We're so close to .500 and only 5.5 games out. The season is LONG from over!

Has Aviles lost it or has Aviles lost it?!?

The guy is expanding the zone worse than just about anyone I've seen. He's swinging 0-1 at pitches that aren't even close. Man. That's brutal.

Duh! Didn't think about that fact, makes sense!
