I'll go further, we not only have no ace, we have no #2. We have three #3's though so take consolation. Meanwhile David Phelps is shutting down the Rays through 5 and we remain in the cellar of the east dreaming of being mediocre at .500.

I hope the FO understands that WMB to the outfield if that is what it takes to keep him here when Youk comes back is a no brainer. Our outfield is terrible. I don't think WMB could do worse if he has never caught a fly ball before.

We don't even have a SP we can call a decent #2 SP. Our SP (we have only 3 SP) are all passable for a #3 SP on most clubs.

Sad to say, it looks like the Royals are the better team.

You guys will win this game. Your offense will s*** down the throat of Chen and Lester will get through 5 with minimal damage. But the fact remains, your "ace" in Lester isnt an ace at all. Aces go deep in games and give innings on days their stuff is off. Lester just cannot do it

To think that Lester started this season recognizing that he had an "off" year last year relative to expectation and has still come out here this year and been a joke as a 1....again.

Bad signings...lots of bad signings. Not only are some of the players not as good as their paychecks would suggest but it is all an ill constructed team in that nothing fits together. Baseball IS a game of individual assets more than any other. They don't have to work together so much as they do have to compliment each other and ours do not. It is just a conglomerate of disassociated pieces. Even if guys that are injured were healthy this would still seem to me like a conglomerate of disassociated pieces.
