With everything that has gone badly for V if there is one thing that seems to have worked out pretty well is his success getting a good result from a trip to the mound. He settled Ace a couple of weeks ago and clearly woke Doubront out of his little bit of a snooze getting him to concentrate on making his pitches last inning.
