I cannot believe the absolute s*** luck this team is getting. If they hit that ball and Lester tapped it, it would have split Pedey and Gonzo and the runner on 1st would have been on 3rd. Instead? Right to the 2nd baseman. Of course.

This team actually cannot catch a single break. This is a joke.

Its not the breaks; its just that this team is a .500 team. This is what a .500 team looks like.

Oh wait...they are BELOW .500.

There are so many idiot dunce cap announce teams out there that can't even carry Remy's jock and Don is fine. I could be wrong but I never hear our guys have anything bad to say even about Serling. That's ********.

Come on man. This is not a .500 team. I'm reactionary, but that's crazy.

You make your breaks....we are just not playing good baseball and if they don't stop this s*** they are going to lose a pile of games.

No, they aren't. They are a BELOW .500 team. Look at the standings. Thats the way they are playing right now. I think they will improve somewhat and finish with maybe 86-88 wins, but right now, they are not EVEN a .500 team. Hence, the results.

At least they are having better at bats tonight...that is encouraging. Lester is just ridiculous though.

So that ball that landed fair by 1/4th of an inch, and then spun up against the wall and the spin made it jet past Ross was a result of what? That's just pisspoor luck. That's all that is.

That ground ball that Aviles hit up the middle that Chen tapped and changed directions right to Andino, that was because of what?

Some breaks you make. Not all of them.

Right now they are playing like a .500 team. The O's have played a horrendously sloppy game and we are tied going to the final 4 innings with our ace on the mound. When the Red Sox were a powerhouse, they would have made the O's pay for those errors and run them off the field. The O's starter would've been lucky to get to the 3rd inning. This version of the Sox need the O's to play sloppy just to be tied.

If they lose a pile of games it won't be because this ball spun that way and that ball landed a 1/4" this side of some line....that is just ********. If they were playing good baseball and not getting the breaks maybe you can look at that s*** every once and awhile and groan but until they start playing good baseball how this ball spun or where that one landed is background noise.

Well no they're not over .500 right now. Anyone can look at the standings. But the team is an over .500 team. I think that 88 mark is right on. Catch a couple breaks and you could be a 91 win team, lose a couple breaks and could be an 85 win team.

I do think that they are still a team that is going to be playing for October when the 2nd half of the season rolls around.

I said it earlier. Stay close now. Make your move in the 2nd half when you're at full strength. Just keep pace for now.

Chen must be hiding the ball pretty good to Ortiz. He is not throwing that hard but he is just throwing it right by him.

Well someone owes us a s*** load of luck
The O's have played like *******s in the field. There is our luck. But for their piss poor D, we would be down 3-1.

Well right now, they don't have Ellsbury or Crawford either. Those are players who make this into a powerhouse team. You take out guys like Darnell Mcdonald and Marlon Byrd and replace them with Ellsbury and Crawford? That turns this team into an offensive powerhouse.

Well the second half is when the schedule really gets nasty for the Sox which is why they need to clean up here, not just bump along.

I disagree. Add all the offensive players you want and we are still not a powerhouse until we have good pitching to go along with it. Good pitching will still shut us down.

That's not luck. That's just a poor defensive team. If Mark Reynolds makes an error or strikes out, it's not luck, he's just a poor defensive player.

Luck is when you hit a ball up the middle and it gets deflected to an infielder. It's when you hit a ball 110 mph through the box on a line and the pitcher throws his glove up and it somehow gets caught. It's when you flare one when you get jammed and fooled but it stays fair and skips into a triple. That's luck.

I would answer yes, but I think our terrible bullpen will not be able to muster enough consistency to support a big run.
