Incredibly frustrating game. Multiple chances to win, no clutch hits. No bench. Lester looked mediocre at best. It's a good thing the rest of the ALE isn't very good right now.

Bottom 13th, do they have any life?

What? TB is playing very good. They have the best record in the AL. Also BAL, TOR and NY lead the run for WC in the AL. I do not know what you mean with "It's a good thing the rest of the ALE isn't very good right now".

BTW TB & NY won. TOR is winning. And O's just beat us.

Tampa is going to pull away from this division in the next couple of months if we don't make some changes and/or hit some kind of freakin' stride.

Is it FOOTBALL season yet? jesus christ.

Yeah guys. Only good things about the team. You're not allowed to complain about the sub-.100 avg with RISP over the past few games.

Sunshine, rainbows, and butterflies fellas. Sunshine, rainbows, and butterflies.

I do not you guys but I'm pissed off not only for the Ls but how we are losing and against we are losing.

Hopefully things turn around but this team needs to be shaken.

These guys are overreacting but that is basically Sox fans style.

All of this will be fine if we go 20-7 in September, we need our three all stars, at this point Gonzalez looks like Jed Lowrie and we are relying on Cody Ross to save us, things won't stay this way.

I think we need a torrid streak and right now i don't feel this team can pull one off. Too many holes on this team at the moment and not enough gritty work your ass off players.

Where the f*** do I even start.

Do I call you out for whining about 'clutch' hitting?

Do I call you out for acting like the sky is falling after a 3 game stretch in early May?

Do I call you out for your faulty generalization about how staying level-headed somehow equals not being allowed to complain?

I don't even know. Just refer to the quoted part of my sig.

Fine, call me out for clutch hitting. The team can't hit with RISP right now. That's a problem.

Fine, call me out for acting like the sky is falling. This team is playing like dogshit. That's a problem.

I guess we're not supposed to complain about the problems that the team is running into. That seems like a fun, passionate fan.

"It's ok. Everything will be fine. The Red Sox lose, but hey, SO GOOD, SO GOOD, SO GOOD!!!"

And when these problems are corrected, which they usually are, I'll be the loudest fan in the stands cheering for the Sox.

Just because people are passionate and complain about s*** when things are going badly doesn't make them any less of a fan than you are, so maybe get off your high horse on some of your posts.

It's also luck.

It's May. They had this exact same record at this point last year, and in late August had the best record in the AL.

You can do whatever you want in that regard. Just be prepared for someone to call you out for being a f***ing fool.

Careful, you'll hurt someone if you wave your cane too vigorously.

1. If you don't believe in breaks, that's fine. But maybe go back and read what I was saying yesterday. I said the Sox have to play well enough to overcome the lucky breaks that go either way. So nice comment. Very insightful.

2. Last year, they had Ellsbury, Crawford, and a back end of the bullpen that was absolutely lights out, including a 25 game scoreless streak from the 8th inning guy over 26.1 IP that set records for the franchise. I don't see that happening this year. Also, say what you want about Lackey, he was atrocious, but the team still went 10-7 in his starts from 5/11 - 8/30. This was obviously completely due to a huge offense that could somehow overcome his pitching, but regardless, from our #4 starter (Doubront), if we get a 10-7 record over his next 17 starts, I think most people would be thrilled.

3. Fine. Call me a fool. You're so much better than any reactionary fans because you are just so levelheaded. Again. Get off your high horse.

4. What the hell does that even mean?!? That makes no sense. It's like you tried really hard to make a funny comment, but again failed. No surprise there. And I'm under 30, thanks.

SFF you are totally right about everything in this post, regardless you are one of the most optimistic posters in this board. You always find stats and numbers from nowhere in order to give us hope and good vibes and I like to read those posts because I feel a little better about our team's future. But again, our team s*** the bed and I have to realize that we are not a good team right now.

Thank you, Ortiz. I try to be optimistic but sometimes, I just run out of s*** to say. I'm hoping this team turns it around 100%. I still think if they can keep pace, they have the horses to make a run in the 2nd half. Thing is, I don't know if they have the horses to keep pace right now. This was supposed to be the stretch of games where this team made hay, especially at home, but they just can't string together any wins other than that stretch with the Twins and ChiSox.

I don't give a s*** what you were saying yesterday. Luck is luck. If you want to rail on them for not playing well enough to counteract luck, then fine, but you're already starting from a pretty bad position.

So they did have the best record in the AL despite the lousy start though, right?

You can't have your cake and eat it too, champ.

I thought it was mildly amusing.

I was talking about how the team was catching s*** luck yesterday. I'm not sure, but I think you may be agreeing with me on that point. The line shot that Ross hit that turned in to a DP, but the 18 hopper down the 3B line that Reynolds hit that turned into a double. So I think we're in agreement here that they are catching s*** luck.

I don't care if they had the best record last year. A lot of stuff has changed from last year in the AL in general. Including this bullpen. The bullpen last year from May - August was lights out. I don't think you can say the same thing about the pen this year.

You can't have your cake and eat it too' date=' champ.[/quote']

I'm not sure what this means. I said "Fine, call me a fool if they turn it around". I think they will too, but I'm going to hammer them while they play like dogshit because they are much more talented than this.

I thought it was mildly amusing.

You're welcome SFF.

I would follow jung's recommendations. Let your fresh blood play and as you said get rid for once and for all of D-McD.
