Why are we not trying to sign this man. I mean i understand that if Cook doesn't get called up before 1 May he can get out of his contract. So is Cook officially part of the Sox if not when are we going to make a move one way or the other. This bullpen issue is know throughout baseball and its like our FO is totally blind to our biggest problem. We take Bard out of his start and say its only temporary when are we getting a permanent fix to our issues. I know its really early but its like we are not looking at anyone to fix this issue or if we are its being really hush hush. Anyone know anything on here?:dunno:

He is a Scott Boras client who got priced out of a job. It seems to happen every year.

Left handers OPSed only .574 against him last year but righties pounded him for over .900. He could have a role in someone's pen as a lefty specialist...at the right price.

He's only 33. His price has probably dropped like a stone.

I don't think Gonzalez is much improvement over what they have in LHP. I would exclude Thomas, who has shown nothing. Ohlendorf and eventually Hill need to be brought up. Also Cook.

The FO has to end it's love affair with Atchison and maybe Albers, too.

Bard has to close. Aceves/Morales setup.

For 5th starter, my choice would be Tazawa. He was good starting when brought up originally, before his Tommy John. Pitched a good game against the Yankees. Throwing great right now.

Cook and Ohlendorf belong in there somewhere replacing some of their current bullpen fodder.

Hill is probably a month or 2 away.

what, Hill is going to be back soon... he only has 30 days of rehab same for Dicek.

so the FO has to make some tough decissions. they need to bring Cook up by May1 and in next 2 weeks Dicek and Hill will be done with 30 days rehab.. so 2 more pitchers are either getting sent down to minors or DFAd.

and FO better not put Tazawa down....

When the 30 day rehab is done' date=' they can still place them back on the DL. They don't have to be activated.[/quote']

only if the player agrees though or am i wrong here?

If they aren't ready physically, why would the player force himself onto the roster. If they are fine and ready, why wouldn't the Sox bring them up. I am just saying that it is not automatic that they will be promoted after 30 days.

my assumption is rehab goes as planned however you didnt mention that in your post ^^...

i am saying if he completes his rehab healthy, there is no way he can be put on DL.

the way you mentioned seemed like making a false injury. doesnt matter he is already up in our bullpen :D

Nick Cafardo ‏ @nickcafardo

Lefty specialist Rich Hill has been recalled from Pawtucket, completing his rehab from Tommy John surgery. Justin Thomas has been sent back

Didn't you make this same claim like a week ago and we all told you that Hill was due back very shortly??

There's no need to make stuff up when there have been clear reports that he was throwing in Pawtucket, the last stop of his rehab stint, and he threw in back-to-back games this week.

No false claim. If Dice K is ready, they should be happy to promote him. If he is not throwing well on the stop in Pawtuckett, not getting people out, they will keep him on the DL.

Keep Dice K there until June 6
