I find it funny that a guy stalks a defensive replacement without any other major skill. It's Daniel Nava version #2.

Execept Lin can play defense.

I think Dojji roots for the wrong team sometimes. If you want to root for a bunch of nobodies, root for the Pirates or Astros.

Yeah, but can he hit .300? OPS >.800? This is a hittin' team, you know. Defense is for softies.

I think you have the impression that I support Lin.

If that was lost in translation I apologize. I think he sucks and has no business on the team.

I have seen him play a few times (on TV). He is a nifty defensive player. Although I believe that he has recently been over-billed in that regard.

He is not MLB ready. He should see action with the big boys only when there is no better option.

I don't think he will ever be MLB ready.

lmao @ Lin. There is no doubt that this guy can shag fly balls, but there is also no doubt that he cannot hit the ball past the mound. On a serious note, I don't see him as anything more than a bench player and a pinch runner.

IF we actually had three major league outfielders right now, I'd agree. We seem to have 2 bench players and a DH though. Lin ought to be able to compete with that.

Lin is one of those good D and no hit prospects. He is no more then a late inning defensive replacement and does not warrent a roster spot in Boston. It just the Sox clearing a spot on the 40 man roster.

The sox need to clear the detritus and bring in guys who have a future with the club. Lin never had a future in Boston. He's a national league kind of player anyway, a guy who can play the OF in a pinch, can run and bunt.
