Even if Hanley isn't an elite player anymore he's still a good player and has a rare toolset. You aren't going to get him for nothing which a package of Youk, Anderson and a pitcher(which I'm assuming will be someone like Alex Wilson or Drake Britton) would be.

This is shaping up to be their 5th game, out of 6 total, where they score 4 or less runs. It won't matter what happens with Beckett, Buchholz, Bard as a starter, and the bullpen if the offense can't get uncorked.

Please explain this. The only legitimate worry I see at this point is the pen. Anyone who thinks this lineup isn't gonna score runs is just an idiot and I see 3 #1 quality pitchers in the rotation with two who have potential.

i think benchmark goes to last year when we were more talented than this year yet started horrid 1-5 0-6 not too much of a difference.. what i do worry about is this team can easily break that benchmark..
