I really hope Youkilis quit looking bad on any offspeed pitches. Stop taking fastball down the middle and fall behind to chase a slider. Same s*** every time he's up with runners on.

I see we put up some fight in the 9th. Despite the loss it's good to see these guys arent just lying down and taking it this year. Every game aside from Saturday they've hung tough and fought back. I think that and bards pitching bode well for us going forward. The starters will come around, this offense will score runs, and there's some solid pieces in the pen with a guy or two on his way on the comeback trail and others with potential. The red sox will be just fine. Now let's win us a series and head back home to kick some Tampa bay ass.

Unlike fans who bail early on the games.

I was not happy with losing yesterday, but there are some bright spots from the game. I think Bard did decent for his first start. He kept us in the game through five by only giving up three. If Thomas does not come in and give up two more runs for Bard, then Bard's start looks that much better. I think it is time for Thomas to get his bags packed. I would prefer Padilla, Atchinson, or even Albers over Thomas in that situation. I like how this team keeps fighting until the end. We continue to score in the 9th inning. I really like the no giving up attitude in the clubhouse. Pedroia is doing a great job of getting things going for this team. He cannot do it all though. We will get results from the rest. I really hope Ellsbury gets things going. He could use a big game. All in all, if the pitching was utilized better, we have a legitimate shot to win this game. This is good experience for Bard. Maybe he will get a W next time around with more run support.

I didn't get to watch much of the game, but it looks like there were some positives despite the loss. If we win today the series will have been a success.

yep even though i didnt watch the game, AGon had a hit that could have scored 3 runs but for the fan ....

however i did like what BV said about leaving Justin Thomas in there when Arencibia was at the plate. he should have gotten a right hander Albers in.. could have made a slight difference in the game.. he is definitely thinking things out. really like him for that..
