From what I'm hearing on the radio' date=' the jays are just getting lucky and not getting solid hits. Correct?[/quote']

It's a combo of luck and bad location. Bard hasnt walked anyone, but the 0-2 pitch to Lind was inexcuseable.

I stream it off of my PS3. So' date=' technically, yes, its on my TV.[/quote']

Good for you! I have Verizon Fios. They have added more HD games this season but which broadcast I get isn't always a choice like Direct TV.

1 bad location, about 12 eight hoppers through the infield. It's almost entirely luck.

Meanwhile, the Sox are 0/5. I don't think it's the rug. Sometimes the ball is headed toward a hole, sometimes it's an at'em ball. Thems the breaks.

Hi VA, seems like they like to wake up in the last 3 innings...

Anyway, Lets go offense!

I hear ya bro. All that matters is the WIN. But it is frustrating. They'll get into a groove I hope but the line up changes dailey. Not complaining. Hope it works out.

True Bard grooved that 0-2 pitch. That plagued him in ST as well. It is like his management of the game from the mound is just not there. Lacks concentration in some cases. However Salty is just no help at all. This is a matter of the battery having to do a better job of managing the game, not just the pitcher.

The Jays are sitting on Bard's fastball. It looks to me that McClure isn't happy over Bard's pitch selection. He has thrown only one changeup to this point of the game.

I know Beckett wants Shoppach to be his binky, but I think Bard would benefit the most from having Shop-vach behind the dish.

How are we not hitting this s*** pitcher?

1 hit off Drabek in 4 innings is inexcusable.

I don't know. But they did say he had a good ST that (unexpectedly) put him in the starting rotation.

Drabek was a top prospect when he was throwing low to mid 90s. Last yr, he seemed to have dead arm

Don Orcillio is very anti bard in the rotation. It's f***ing annoying.

I'm gonna be honest. I grew to dislike the nesn team as the season want on last year.

The rap on Shoppach around the league is that he calls too many fast balls. I don't think BV wants Shoppach catching Bard at this point. Just a hunch. Bard's got to develop confidence in a third pitch if he expects to last as a starter.

Remy is right about Bard needing to throw more off speed mixed in. Said that right from the first inning. The hits they are getting is off FB in bad locations. Granted they are balls being beaten into the ground but they are hit hard enough to get through the infield. So they are getting wood on the ball.

I like Remy, but Orcillio was better when he didn't add his opinion as much.

Yeah. They were comparing him to Doubront. No one expected either of them to be in the starting rotation but they had a good ST and won their slot.

Some hits would be nice fella's jeez!
