The Sox do have to break out the bats and Josh does have to break out the K's. Allowing the opposition to make contact will not work out to well for the Sox this year. That by the way is the biggest flaw in the "lets bring on Cook" discussions. Contact exposes the Sox defense for what it is.

Go Josh....Go bats!

Beckett will be fine, he's pissed about everyone always talking about the beer and chicken s*** instead of his 2.86 ERA last year. A pissed off Beckett is my favorite Beckett and Im willing to bet money he has a nice day tomorrow.

Pissed off Beckett resulted in 8 innings, 10 K's, and 2 hits vs the skanks on Sunday night last year as a jumping off point to the second best year of his career. He'll show up to pitch.

Remember when he was pissed off in 2010, hit about five Yankee players, and had one of the worst games of his career, to start the worst season of his career? I'm not convinced.

I'm not sure how Abraham picks the Song of the Day.

And YES, I am very ready for the game! How about you?

Well, in Monterrey is hot as hell, so.... the day is perfect for a BBQ and tons of cold beers and watch the game with my brother that just arrived from Mexico City with his wife and baby for the weekend, so... Yeah! I'm ready and waiting for the first pitch!

My middle daughter's 6th Bday party is today at 3:00 (CST), right when the game starts. So, I'll miss most of the game.

Beckett vs Fister? We should win this anyday but the thumb will tell.

Couldn't agree more. I defended the Sox as much as I could Thursday when they lost. But if they get beat today I really will have no excuses lol. Let's go Sox!!!!

Well he's transformed as a pitcher since 2010 and he had a fantastic spring. I firmly believe that the Beckett we saw last year is here to stay.

Saw the Red Devils play the other night against the Rangers? They got beat, but they have a few hitters. That first baseman is huge.

Enjoy the game on Fox. Hope chicken is on that BBQ menu.:D

Hopefully this won't be the start of a mediorce season for Josh because it is an even season!

Thought the same thing to myself. It's amazing how awful he is every even season.
