That's the best part. The troll doesn't even realize that when he spouts that kind of crap out to me that he is basically saying it to all of us. Tell me troll, do you feel differently about the Sox situation depending on which Sox fan you're talking to? You have actually got to be the most smug bankee fan I have ever come across but that's no surprise being that you are the ONLY one on this SOX site. Talk about an inferiority complex.

Jacko isn't a troll. He takes his lumps on this site, and he has been amazingly restrained considering that the Sox are having their worst season since 1967.

You really don't have a grasp on the English language.

You'd take joy for about a day, then remember that your team is one of the worst teams fielded in the last 50 yrs. I am sure the O's took little solace in taking you guys out last season. Just to give you some idea here, the sox are 21 games under .500 since the ASB, good for third worst in baseball. And while you can definitely point to the offense being stricken with the loss of Ortiz and Middlebrooks, your pitching has notched the second worst ERA in all of baseball, and aside from Lackey, you dont have many reinforcements in the wings. Even worse, since the end of July, your team is 16-39. So, if you were to knock the Yankees into the round of the wilds, you'd be happy for a night. But it would quickly dissipate into knowing that your team was one of the worst in baseball after the break and drone on into the lonely dark winter with a lot of work to do.

It would bring me both joy and relief. There is always joy in beating the Yankees especially if it means something (even if it is only meaningful for the Yanks). I'd be relieved because, I live in NY and work in NYC. The joy would be temporary, but the relief would last all winter if the Yanks get eliminated.

The guy has over 28,000 posts. If he is a troll, they would have gotten rid of him by now. Whatever you think he is saying to "all of us" is just another point of view. Sometimes ( at least in previous times) it was refreshing to hear something other than all is perfect in RedSox Nation....nothing needs to change because they have the best Manager ( gone!!) and best GM ( gone!!) in baseball because they brought us two World Series titles a life time ago.

Without the Angels to challenge them, the Yanks will probably advance easily through the offseason. The Tigers could mount some sort of threat, but the A's, Rangers, and O's should not be anything more than speed bumps.
