So he couldn't construct and head an investment group? Are you serious? He could headline a group willing to fork over 3B for the Yanks tomorrow if he wanted.

Well yeah in that case he certainly could. I thought Jacko was implying he had the funds to buy the Yankees himself.

Yankees win a third in a row right around when I was about to pronounce them dead. Good times! 3 encouraging as hell signs right now that may pick us off the mat.

1. ARod is starting to hit. He's 7 for his last 17 with 2HRs and a double. He was looking like a light hitting, singles hitter up until now. But if he can continue to bring the power, then we gain a humongous advantage

2. Nova did EXACTLY what we have been waiting for him to do last night. I know it was the A's, but he easily could have gone 6IP given up way too many walks and gone for double digit K's. He didnt. He went for early contact, which allowed him to go 7IP and only allow 1 walk. He also only struck out 4. He did allow 2 homeruns, but one was a hanging breaking ball. They happen. I want to see more of him pitching to contact and less of him nibbling and racking up high K numbers

3. Teixeira is getting on track. He is 4 for his last 14, most would say, so what, .286 AVG. But, he has walked 3 times in that stretch with 2 doubles and a homer. His big issue this yr was that when he wasnt hitting, he was also not walking. If he can get on track and continue the BB's as well as start pushing up those power numbers, we'll be good

You say his net worth is 2.3 billion ( I'm assuming you googled it ) ...regardless of much cash he has available ( half that? Prob more? ) I'm sure someone somewhere ( bank, bill gates etc ) would loan mark the money if he wanted it....

As much as I hate to say it, the Yankees are a proven commodity, hell I could probably get a loan to buy the Yankees , advertisements, concessions, yes network, ticket sales etc etc ..... Money in the bank

Teixeira is coming alive. 3 hits today, 3 rbi and another homer.

I loved what I saw out of CC again today. Once again, he didnt have his solid location, especially through the first 4. But he showed what a true ace can do. A true ace will battle and keep his team in it on nights when his stuff isnt sharp. He came around in the 5th and looked dominant into the 7th.

And Girardi showed his small ball roots today. We need to do that more. Our offense isnt what it used to be, we need to be able to move runners. A bunt by Stewart with Chavez on 2nd got him to third and a bleeder from Jeter scored him. A bunt by Jeter set up Stewart to score on a sac fly.

2 more doubles today and an insurance RBI. We also saw Kuroda mow down the A's in a very encouraging fashion. A save away from a 5 game win streak, staring at a Hughes start vs a streaking Angels team. Will be interesting to see

Glad we could take one from the Angels, but game 1 should have been in our hands if not for our incompetent manager. SO be it. The Halos are hot and when the middle of their order is hitting, they will be tough to beat

awful decision by the Yankees to pitch to Cabrera. What are you trying to accomplish. The guy is hot and one of the best hitters in the game. You can keep Fielder in the park these days. This guy, not so much. Stop throwing to him!!

This team is a f***ing joke. How the mother f*** can you suck so f***ing bad in clutch spots. Valverde cannot hit the ocean if he was standing on the dock and Cano chases an inside pitch and pops out when all he needed to f***ING DO WAS HIT THE BALL INTO THE OF!!! This is a f***ing joke. I'd bench Cano, ARod, Granderson and any f***ing hitter who cannot hit to the situation. Its a joke. You cannot fly the f*** out with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs? Sit down the next game. You cannot move a runner? Down for the next game. I am sick of waiting for the 3 run homer. This team is much better than they are performing

When I played in college, you ran if you couldnt hit to a situation. You pop out like Cano did, and you're running at 10p after a 9 inning game, even if you went 3 for 4. We preached situational baseball and we were a good team.
