I thought Gardner was close to coming back, but he's set to have arthroscopic surgery on his elbow next week. He's likely done for the year after playing in only 9 games.

This offense went dead and we've had Cody Eppley on the mound in walkoff fashion twice. There is no f***ing way Phelps should have been pulled. He's stretched out and could have gone 5-6 innings if need be. Instead, we had a righty sidewinder on the hill with a runner on 2nd facing a switch hitter. Just a stupid move and another example that good enough pitching and shrewd managing can hand Girardi his lunch. Phelps was dominant, he shouldnt have been pulled

Alex Rodriguez was diagnosed late Tuesday night with a non-displaced fracture in his left hand.

Dropping like flies. Tex sprained his wrist and will be out a few days at minimum. His MRI is pending. We have to add a bat here. Our pitching hasnt been bad, but our offense has slept since the ASB. We need to wake the f*** up, and without ARod and Tex, it is hard for that to happen

Yeah if we have to depend on other teams to get there we don't deserve the WC. If we would have done our job before(beating weak ass teams and scrub pitchers) we wouldn't have to resort to that. I hate the Yankees and always will, I'll never want to see them win no matter what.

Verlander threw his 130 th pitch at 100 mph. He ended up with 14 k's, including Ichiro 3 times. Ichiro hadn't k'd once in 49 ABs with the Yanks.
