At least it's not career threatening but man, does this make the Perk trade look even worse almost 1 year later.

6th seed? I think even without Green the Celtics will finish in the top 3 or 4, probably behind Miami, Chicago and maybe New York.

We're old and decrepit, have no depth, no frontcourt at all, and have to play a compressed schedule.

 

Miami, Chicago, and New York are obviously ahead of us. Orlando's good for the 4 seed if they hang on to Dwight for the season, which they're foolish enough to do. It's reasonable to assume Atlanta could slide in ahead of us for the 5 seed (or 4 if Orlando does unload Dwight), the fact that we always seem to have trouble with them head to head doesn't help. It's also not unreasonable to think that a young team like the Sixers or Pacers catches fire and capitalizes on the short season to get a better seeding.

This needs to be said also- we went toe to toe with 2 of the top teams in the eastern conference and could have won both games. We were without Paul Pierce. I agree, lasts night game was terrible but it was the 3rd game in 4 nights without your best player.

Hopefully Pierce can come back soon for you guys. With Pierce, you guys would have beat us by 10 or more.

Pistons are total garbage now. They need to dump everyone except Jerebko, Monroe, Daye and Knight. (Kid Cudi reference)

Go get him, Ainge. We need a center in the worst way and he can be had for pennies on the dollar. Trade Avery Bradley for him.

I understand they privately opted out of Green's $9M contract when they found out about his heart condition. That makes him an unrestricted FA next year. But it doesn't help the Celtics at all capwise this year. Apparently that mythical money can't be swiped from the books. The NBA has the nuttiest salary cap on the planet. Ainge pretty much gave his starting center away for nothing.

Hey Flynn, we got you guys last night, didn't we? Or should I say you tried like hell to give it to us and we reluctantly took advantage of a break----for a change. Sad to say my Lakers might have to look back to their one point victory over the Celtics last night as t heir highlight of the year because right now we're not going anywhere this season. For some reason your Celtics have been able to hide their age better than my Lakers have, but of course, your guys know the meaning of the word defense and Doc Rivers is a hell of a coach. Sad to say, another Celtics-Lakers Final may have to wait for at least a half-dozen years down the road.

Blew that one Flynn. Well we play your team tonight and if I know the Lakers they left their game in Boston so unless the Knicks decide to play Santa Claus my team may be forced to continue their pratfalls on the road where we are a miserable 4-9.
