I'm reading in the Herald (a Chicago story) that the Cubs might go after Maddon for manager.

 

And it might cost them Castro.

 

Now, this is a just a Tribune guy pipedreaming, maybe, but Friedman interviewed the Angels for GM.

 

So why aren't the Red Sox considering Maddon?

 

And why are the Red Sox haven't such a hard time getting ANY player in return for Epstein, while Castro has been suggested as a possible payment for Maddon? Maddon hasn't won any championships.

 

Are the Sox soft? Or maybe that Chicago story is full of crap.

I read everything smart ass. Your posts are all over the place and most of the time I am able to ignore them. I slipped up last night after another poster pointed it out.

This board has been all over the place lately. It makes it unreadable at times.

 

For example, the offseason thread on here has turned into talking about the WS. That should be in the general baseball forum as the offseason thread should relate to the Sox offseason not other random crap.

 

I'm not trying to call anyone out, but we should be mindful of where the best place to make a post. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of random crap thrown at a wall rather than meaningful discussion.

One problem about player threads like the Lackey or CC one is that people get to talking about other players due to the nature of them. People want to talk replacements or whatnot.

I think the problem is sometimes you want to say something that isn't covered in a thread, so you try to fit it in with the thread you're looking at. There wasn't a thread on a new manager, for example, until yesterday.

 

I know the answer is maybe to start your own thread, but sometimes you think what you have to say isn't major enough to warrant it.
