I mean we're down 5-1 to the LOSINGEST PITCHER IN THE MLB!!!!!

Dear God. If there were ever a gimme game, this is f***ing it.

Well no, their pitcher is much better than our pitcher this game. A better argument would be: It's the f***ing Orioles.

Dear God. If there were ever a gimme game, this is f***ing it. But what do we do? Send out a bunch of blow hards. Put a guy who hasn't gotten a hit in 15 AB in the 3 slot. Horrible managing. Horrible pitching. Horrible hitting.

Horrible team.

terry francona once again proving why he shold be manager of the year

In b4 delusional people come in and start saying "it's not tito's fault' date=' it's not the FO fault, it's not the player's fault, you're all just pessimistic blah blah blah" Shut up[/quote']

they really are delusional, having blind faith in this team and its awful manager doesn't mean your a great fan. and being a realist and knowing when we suck dosen't make us any less of a fan

true. which is why he's the losingest pitcher in the mlb. But regardless, there's absolutely no excuse for this.

Everyone was happy that we had the O's for a 4 game set, but this team couldn't beat the Greenville Drive right now.

Most infuriating team ever. I hope, when they inevitably blow this season and miss the PS, that the media tears into them worse than they have any other team in history. They deserve every bit of it.

This. This. This.

AND LOL ANOTHER HOME RUN. SEND THIS f***ER BACK TO COLLEGE LEVEL BALL GODDAMNIT

How did he not catch either one?

Now the Orioles are tagging the kid. He's a baby. He should not be put in these situations. It's not his fault. The kid was a closer in college.

The kid isnt ready. He did just turn 25, but this yr was the first time he sniffed AAA, and he did well. But he has a couple things weighing him down. He's effectively been in 2 levels now, as this was his first yr in AAA. AND, he's almost 20 innings past his career high. So, he's inexperienced and he's likely tired. Not a good combo

You guys can rip me all you want for this, but this team has no chance. They have absolutely zero heart right now. They're playing like they don't give a s*** about winning.

I have zero faith that this team is going to make it to the post season at this point. I wish Adrian Gonzalez would sit for about a week. All he's doing right now is hurting this team. Stick his ass in the 7 hole and put Ortiz in the 3 hole. At least Ortiz is hitting the baseball right now. Gonzalez can't hit traffic right now.

It's not a "heart" problem. They are rolling out garbage and kids up and down the lineup. Yesterday, they had two hacks in the OF-- D Mac and Conor Jackson and another hack at third base-- Aviles. These guys are not good defenders. They helped give away yesterday's game. Except on rare occasions, our starters blow us out of games early. It's hard for the crowd to have any life when the starter puts you in such a hole, and there is no energy for the team to feed on. It's a cycle of collapse and despair. This is what it looks like. I saw this at Shea Stadium in 2007, 2008. The Sox are circling the drain. Willie Randolph would say things like Francona is saying, i.e. "this will make us stronger." Willie also said that it would make the champagne taste sweeter. As this progresses, Tito will make similar remarks and it will be very annoying as the fans come to the realization that the team is just circling the drain.

The worst part about this is that after today, the Yankees are going to be 6 games up. And then they're going to send out a bunch of nobodies to play the Rays. So the Rays are going to get a bunch of cheap wins, and the Sox are going to blow it.

Awesome. Great managing, Francona.

Francona needs to scratch this calm, everything is ok, if we don't win today, we'll try to win tomorrow attitude and get in his teams face. Throw a fit. Get pissed off. Get thrown out of a f***ing game for God's sake.

Francona is the JD Drew of managers. Show some f***ing emotion.

I said this two weeks ago. Unless the Sox took matters into their own hands and buried the Rays, the Sox were set up perfectly to be burned by the Yankees. They play all their guys against the Sox and lay down for the Rays. At the time, most people disagreed with me.

Another super start for Weiland. He's so much better than Aceves in this rotation.
Weiland has not yet had a successful major league start. In the past, Dubront has had some successful starts. Why would they have elected to go with Weiland today?

Doubront is a reliever this year because of his injuries.

is this what it's like to be a mets fan?
If the Sox don't turn this around fast, this will get really ugly in the final week. If you think it is distressing now, it will become excruciating as the end approaches.
