On that broken bat play, I figure the SS either catches the bat or catches the ball. Scutaro caught neither. If that's Pedey, he catches the ball and kicks the bat. Marco didn't show a lot of effort on that play.

 

The rules should make that an interference--batter out. The batter clearly interfered with his bat.
