tito lost his confidence on bard lol
I don't know if Tito has lost confidence in Bard, but I have. I have a sick feeling. Thanks Bard. As Remy just said-- a devastating loss for the Red Sox.

I don't care what it is, but this team has got to do something to get rolling. And Michael Kay is now blowing Tampa for beating us, may he rot in hell.

we can't beat the rays for so many years . and we still have to play them again this month

I know I'm probably gonna get crucified for suggesting that the sky hasn't all the way fallen, but the Yankees aren't so great right now either, and letting us hang around could come back to bite them in their evil f***ing asses. Just go out and win tomorrow, Jon. I think we'll hang tough and make it to the playoffs, and you never know what happens in the playoffs. I guarantee a playoff spot, permaban me if I'm wrong.

Screw Bard and his 2-7 record. I love the guy as our 8th inning guy, but I don'[t want to see him closing games. 2-7 sucks-- I don't care what his peripherals indicate.

BTW DMac helped screw up Ellsbury on that triple.

I wonder what's worse for you health, McDonald's the fast food joint or this miserable f***ing excuse of a ballplayer.

I don't think that's fair. Lackey has 12 wins and I doubt anyone here thinks very highly of him. There's no arguing that aside from this last 2 week or so stretch, he's been absolutely shutdown out of the bullpen.

Theo need to rebuild the bullpen once again ...

When Miller, Wakefield, and the version of Lackey we've seen in his last 3 starts, your bullpen tends to get worked a little harder.

It really hurt watching tonight's game. Is it too much to ask for a victory or two these days? Fortunately, the Yanks aren't doing too well either. And I love the fact that a lot of NY homers have finally STFU about Granderson deserving the MVP. Granderson is now batting .266 overall and .179 in September with zero homers. He's also shooting to overpass Adam Dunn in strikeouts. FU NY.

I would like to know why we don't have a pitcher that could go 9 innings? a workhorse like Livan hernandez, halladay... instead we have 5 inings pitcher like wake and miller ,lackey and even beckett rarely go 9 inings

Just stay positive my friend, things are never as bad as they seem. We have a homestand coming up and I think that might be just what this team needs, win tomorrow and avoid the sweep and just back to winning some more ballgames. This is rough stretch in which Beckett's hurt, Bedard's hurt, Lackey has started to struggle again, and Miller and Wake are blowing which has led to all the innings being put on the bullpen starting to catch up with us. It sucks right now but don't worry, if we can just manage to hang in there and reach the playoffs, anything is possible.

wins-losses don't mean spit for a pitcher. starter or reliever. you look primarily at the WHIP. That tells you more about how effective a pitcher has been against the opposing hitters, and what kind of command he has.

Clearly, the Red Sox have problems--too many guys with 1.5 whip and above. And they keep throwing these guys out there...and they keep gettin' hit. LOL

So, then he just must be very unlucky.

+1

I'm not happy we're losing all these games, but it's not the end of the world that some seem to think it is. A win tomorrow and then bring it back to Fenway for some home cooking... we're not missing the playoffs.
