Lester needs to be an ace tomorrow. He and Beckett need to get the team through the injuries to the offense without going into a big slump. We need them to hold teams to 3 or fewer runs, because this offense is not going to produce more than a handful of runs.

Tito should know that Wake can't go more than 4-5 innings at this point, so.... give him 4 innings and 3 more to Miller and switch them every 5th-D.... and if the offense has 6+ Rs through 4 innings, leave Wake on the mound 1-2 more innings and let him take his damn 200th....otherwise every 5th day, we gonna give up a game.

What? Before tonight, Wakefield averaged over 7 IP in his last 4 starts. He's not a great pitcher, probably not even a good one, but he can eat innings.

Yup, but we need to ensure 5 IP given the injuries + slumps and mostly if we are winning by only 1-3 Rs like today (sure, the pen didn't make the job as well, but the pen has been just fine aside Morales)... Now, as I said, if our offense supports him with 6+ Rs let him continue, but if the game still 1-3 R+, I would send the crane and go with Miller.

 

Sure, we need to eat innings, but you never know with these two.
