Don't even try that ********. You came in here and accused Ellsbury of using HGH when no one said a thing about the Yankees before that. Don't get butthurt because we're talking about those pinstripe punks. You set yourself up and that's what you get for trying to stir s*** up.

The worst trolls are the ones who dish it out then act all butthurt and play the victim when they get stuff dished back at them.

Isn't that calling the kettle black. Were you in a black out when you came into this thread to post a picture reading "Human Growth Hormone" and started the back and forth?

Exactly, he's f***ing trolling. Someone get him a tissue because we're talking bad about his precious wittle pinstripes on a Red Sox forum.

HGH is a non-steroid.Actually a natural hormone. I don't believe it can be tested for. I suspect the use of drug enhancers in sports is way ahead of their detection methods. I also think MLB's testing is not very transparent.I read somewhere the Players Association may be tipping off players on when they are to be tested. It's a muddy area.

Can't wait to hear how it's unfair that Manny and Ortiz beat Giambi' date=' A-Rod and Sheffield.[/quote']

Schilling has been quoted as saying they were all doing it. It was a pretty even playing field. That supports what Canseco has said.

The question is what is happening now. We don't really know because the testing is not transparent. Besides, some enhancers can't be tested for. HGH, for example, which your pituitary gland makes. All the stuff you hear is from trainers who said they injected this or that. That's what got Bonds and Clemens in trouble.

But when somebody gets caught in testing, it's usually because of a screwup or mistake.

As a Red Sox fan I don't like either A-roid or Sheffield because they're both jerks, but I don't mind Giambi. Didn't he admit taking steroids?

That was a joke, c'mon now, you don't need to get your panties in a twist.

I suggest we ignore the jerk. If you roll in the mud with a pig, you get nasty and he has fun.

Ellsbury is developing into a five tool superstar/MVP candidate type player. I hope the Sox look into extending him before he becomes all-Carl Crawford on them. Actually, I have long felt he had a higher ceiling than CC.

Is this meant for Colon, Granderson, and Texeria?

On Ellsbury: I read that his max HR/RBI on a season prior to 2011 is 15/60. He has 15/54 right now. That's CRAZY!! I can't believe he's never had more than 54 RBIs in a season. It's b/c the bottom of the order is so powerful this season.

Because leadoff hitters usually rack 'em up.

Telling that so many of Jacoby's home runs are solo shots.

At what point does a guy producing this much power get moved into an RBI slot in the lineup?

He'd be a middle of the order bat on most teams with his OPS. I like him batting leadoff though because of his combination of OBP and speed. And I think a lot of the reason he gets such good pitches to hit is because pitchers don't want to walk him and put him on base with his speed to lead off innings. If slow runners like Gonzalez, Youkilis or Ortiz were on base in front of him, pitchers can pitch much more cautiously to him knowing he speed won't be much of a factor.

Theo mentioned on WEEI this afternoon that the Red Sox have been trying to lockout Ellsbury for a while, and they've definitely sat down with him in discussions, and they will continue to try to sign him long term.

Good luck with that. In 2 year he is a FA at age 29. There will be plenty of teams on him, including the Yankees.

If Ellsbury wants to stay in Boston, my advice to him is to get another agent. Because Boras doesn't give a damn about team loyalty. He is a classic modern day shark agent who is out for the highest buck--for himself. And he will convince his client that the most money is best for him. After all, Boras doesn't have to play for the team.

Scott Boras is such a douche. His face just makes me angry. What an *******.

If Ellsbury keeps up this pace for the rest of this year and next year he's going to want Crawford Type money and more .

Let's hope there is some way in this world for us to lock him up long term. The prospect of him playing in another town, possibly for those cocks in NY, has me less than enthused.

Sounds like what he's paid to do.

Yup, if he turns in to a 20-25 homer, 85-95 rbi, 100 runs, 40+ SB lead off hitting CF he will want Crawford money........and then some. You can argue that hes been the second best offensive player on our team, playing one of the most important defensive positions.

BTW......What the f*ck was Theo thinking last year when they forced Ellsbury to play LF in favor of 37 year old Mike Cameron. Talk about blunders.

Posted
He's never gonna get that many RBI if he keeps leading off. 30-30 is more likely than 100 RBI.

Hes on pace for 91 right now.

If Ells becomes a FA, the Sox have enough $ to keep him. Complaining about the Yankees payroll is just silly at this point. If Theo wants him, Ells will be here.

You guys hate on Boras, but the players pick him for a reason. I'd love him as an agent. These guys have such short careers that getting the most money is very important. If Ellsbury shows that he can replicate 20+HR power up until his FA yr, he's gonna get a contract that makes Crawford's look like chump change

Boras is a douche for grabbing teams by the balls and squeezing every last cent out of them. honestly, i respect players a little more for signing him as an agent. al it does is turn their eyes into dollar signs. $$$$$$ if you're a great player, you deserve to get paid great. i get that, but boras' clients are always expecting to set the bar as far as being the highest paid at their position. in any sport. what's wrong with taking 5 million less and staying on a team you llove to play for when you're already a frickin MILLIONAIRE! ( that wasn't a jab at jason bay......)

He does his job, doesn't mean he isn't a douche. Tons of guys are douches because of their jobs. This is the ********** that squeezed 50 million for Matsuzaka out of us.
