Just like any sport, there are various ways to play the game... you don't have to be a small ball manager to win a lot of games. The two WS titles we have in the last 8 years prove that.

Agree 100%...but my question is why does TIT-o simply refuse to scramble to get a run here and there when the bats are sleeping...gotta be flexible....way too rigid in his approach of lineup, game strategy, etc.....follows only one plan...two is nice, but ther might have been more with a little creativity..

His approach more often than not is dictated by the players assembled for him by the front office. Teams that play small ball to score their runs are hamstrung financially more often than not. That's not the case for us... we have players that are paid to swing and hit the ball, not to bunt and sacrifice.

We steal bases just fine. We'll be better tomorrow with Crawford back in the lineup. Bunting is an art... not a lot of guys do it well. D-Mac is the only one that really does it well. Hit and run is tough as well...
