Whether it be the Astros or the Phillies' date=' I don't really care but it's nice to see the offense is back.[/quote']

It was only a matter of time. Despite the doomsday prognostications (which I love hearing from Yankees fans every time we whoop their sorry asses) this team was bound to get back on track at some point.

I knew they were going to get back on track I just didn't expect it to be in the NL road trip. After this series we're finally done with this interleague ******** and we go home to the Fenway to f*** s*** up.

And the Yankees have to play some pretty tough games on the road. Like I said a day or so ago, we're back in 1st by the break. Order will be restored and the Yankees will continue to be Scott to our James Caan.

Yup. The Yankees have played 2 fewer games than us, and 8 more home games than us. That means there will be 2 days in which the Sox will be sitting at home, watching TV while the Yankees are complaining about arthritis because their backs hurt from not getting a day off in 38 days. Also, they'll be doing a lot of that on the road.

I hope you're right about being back in first by the all star break. Their rotation is doing a hell of a lot better than I thought they would. Yankees are in first because they happened to play good when we were in a slump no biggie.

I didn't post during the game so I didn't jinx myself. I guess I'll be making the game thread tomorrow.

You wanna hear their fans reasons for thinking they're better than we are? They think it's a valid point that if you take away our 8 rapes against them, we're only 7 games over. They fail to take away the 2-10 start. I did the math and if you take away the horrid start and the last 6 Yankee games, they do have a better record than we do but they did not have to go on a 9 game NL roadtrip while missing one of their aces, their 21 million a year left-fielder, and despite sucking copious amounts of ass since the tail end of April, their shortstop. All the signs point to them being our bitches this year, they won't pull a 2009 out of their asses. The 2011 Sox are better than the '09 Yankees and they are not coming into Fenway and beating us, not f***ing happening. This is our year. f*** New York, and for that matter, f*** Philly.

I sense a bit of a collision approaching. When BPEF returns' date=' and Thunder has won 2 in a row, what happens? Does the world just end?[/quote']

Put a loaded gun between them and see who comes out unperforated

My first instinct was to just have one of the mods ban Thunder and we all move on with our lives... but this is a double-mojo whammy. When thunder's streak ends, BP comes back and starts the next one. Win-win.

Anyone else think Miller will look like his old self again once he starts facing medium strength AL lineups? In his 3 starts against some of the worst offenses in baseball, he's allowed more hits than innings pitched, he's walked nearly 4 per 9 innings and has a WHIP of 1.47. Those aren't encouraging numbers.

Same question as above.

Navarro with the homerun. Reddick doing it again. Obviously these 2 guys need to see more time... regardless of Darnell's homerun (but, good for him!)

Let's not forget that Navarro can show up in any of the 4 infield positions. If we get Navarro and Lowrie on the same roster and both guys are hitting that's a ridiculous amount of flexibility.

Miller was hit in the back by a line drive up the middle and I don't think the Red Sox wanted him hitting in the 7th inning. The move paid off as his pinch hitter Navarro hit a home run.
