As much as Lackey brings the suck, I'd rather watch him pitch. Dice K was simply the most frustrating non-knuckleballer that I have watched pitch for the Red Sox in many years.

They weren't hot our offense just didn't show up. They all still suck except the Phillies.

You could build a half decent lineup around the people who are not in the lineup tonight. Crawford, Ellsbury, Lowrie and Ortiz. That's 3 of our middle of the order hitters and our dynamic leadoff guy. A lot of people are going to dismiss this as "excuse making" but come on, the Plan A roster is missing 5 crucial pieces, there's got to be a point beyond which you make allowances for a team that's missing guys.
