Seriously' date=' not with that rotation. Whenever the Sox miss the playoffs and the Yankees don't win that makes it a successful season.[/quote']

Gotta love the Yankees fans thinking they'll stay in 1st though. When it gets into the dog days, I can see Tampa overtaking them.

Theo needs to get off his ass and get a Rhd hitter with some thump.

Hanley Ramirez, anyone? He is due for a 2nd half rebound.

I'll settle for Beltran, Hanley wouldn't come cheap and we need production out of RF.

Before anything and I know everyone agrees with me get rid of McDonald.

You've gotta think that McDonald's leash will run out soon enough, he won't be up with the big club all year batting .100.

I'm hoping that leash ends before tomorrows game. I don't hate the guy but he's bringing absolutely nothing to the team. Sorry D-Mac but you need to go.

yeah... maybe they can get Beltran cheap. He would fit.

But they have the pieces to get Hanley--if the Marlins will deal him.

Time for Epstein to earn his pay again.

I'm not saying it was a good lineup at all, but they wouldn't have had a chance with a full lineup against Lee. He was superb tonight.

It would have at least been a punchers' chance if we were at Fenway (DH playing), CC in left (regardless of splits still better than D-Mac) and an acceptable RFer not named Drew or Cameron.

Maybe, but I'm talking about what was actually possible tonight.

If Lackey throws up another stinker, his ass should be out of the rotation.I dont care if he is getting paid big bucks. He needs to come up big tomorrow considering what happened tonight.

The Yankees have had a soft first half schedule. That will even out in the 2nd half.

The Yankees have had the 7th toughest schedule in all of baseball.

Of course I want a win tomorrow, but again, today we didn't put our the best lineup available (i'm not saying we would've won, but at least you increase your possibilities), tomorrow Lackey is pitching and hoping TF goes with a better lineup (tomo is the pitching, Lackey shouldn't start anymore)... it is incredible/frustrating how many games, we've been losing for bad decisions from the bench, specially since we began the series against SD.

BTW TB and NYY won.

Don't bring reason into this damn it ;)

They do seem to play at home every other series.

Haha that's true, they've played a ton of home games ... but they've also played well on the road (20-13).

Yanks had quite a few rainouts that are being rescheduled during off days in the 2nd half. That's killer on a team during August and September, especially an aging team.

Three make up games, two of them coming at home, is hardly significant. If they don't make the playoffs, it won't be because of that.

The Yankees have played 44 games at home and just 33 on the road. The Red Sox have played 38 at home and 40 on the road. Although they have played well on the road to date, road games eventually take their toll.
