Well it was fun being in first while it lasted.

Yeah I thought about taking him out, but 5 consecutive walks to the Padres?!? He can stay on the team, but out of the rotation.

6IP of 2ER ball shouldnt net you a loss. The sox O has scored 3 runs off the vaunted Pittsburgh staff. Actually, I just looked it up and the Pirates have the 9th best ERA in the bigs. Its probably a fluke. Regardless, the sox should be hitting better than this against these schmucks

Josh Reddick worked on his selectivity. He has the raw tools, but big league pitchers were picking him apart with pitches off the black and down in the zone. Now, he's waiting for his pitch, and while it is a SSS, he looks like a new hitter.

 

I hope the Yankees take note of this and start giving their kids a f***ing chance. This kid could have lazed around and hit the piss out of the ball in AAA and become a AAAA hitter. Instead, he got a shot, sucked, learned that his game wasnt good enough as is and he worked hard to fix his shortcomings. We need to do this with some of our kids. Put their feet to the fire, show them that they need to keep working
