UPDATE, 7:37 p.m.: The Yankees just announced to the crowd that they do expect to play the game tonight. The tarp is still down but the rain has stopped. The good news is that it has cooled off considerably from this afternoon.

lol I was already at a ballgame this afternoon in CT, and it was 95-96 for most of the game. Not to mention that one of the teams batted around in consecutive innings and scored 14 runs in the first 4-5 innings. It was horrible.

I don't understand this comment? They said they still will play. From weather.com's radar, it looks like the rain will taper off around 9:30 - 9:45 unfortunately.

Here at Yankee Stadium. The rain is pretty strong right now (not as strong as it has been) and there is T&L. But yes they did announce they expect to play. They better.
