After 20-Hits, 14 Rs, and another scoreless for Lester, Who is not happy? Crawford went 4-4 raising his avg. to .229; is he ready to be moved up in the lineup? I think he is. Tito, what are u waiting for?

Tomorrow Alfredo goes to the Mound (2.42) to face Scherzer (2.98). The mexican showed pretty good things the last 5 IP as a starter when he faced the Cubs on National TV allowing only a R and 2 BB; he is a .309 ERA/15-1/1.06 career pitcher, of course mostly as a reliever, so... this could be a good opportunity for him for once and for all to take the spot as a starter.

This offense is showing what is capable to do; A-God leading the majors with 43 RBIs, Lester on top as well with 7 Wins, Salty improving his offense with 4 HR and .240 avg. (above CC and JD Drew), Big Papi with 10 HR, CC batting .308 in may, Ells leading the AL with 17 SB, Youk 4th in the AL with a .408 OBP, etc.

Those numbers are not recovery symptoms, those are already realities.

So... Lets take the first of the Series, and continue this pace.

I'm just warming up in this W-streak, hehehe :thumbsup:

Lets go Red Sox!

Still don't understand the rush to move Crawford up in the lineup right now. :dunno:

It is not a "rush thing" anymore; he was signed (besides other things) to take the 1-3 spot, and i don't see a 142 MUSD player going as a 7th or 8th all the season long, and i suppose, nobody does even Tito (I hope). Mentioned that, the only question at this point and that is not clear for me anymore is: when or what is supposed to happen in order to move him up? # avg? #SB? # OPS? or what?. That's it.

At this point TF hasn't answered that question in a clear way, has he?, cause i haven't heard.

Last time we thought Crawford was comming around and turned to s*** again . Tito was smart to leave him at the bottom of the lineup and he should leave him there until CC proves he can get on base on a regular basis

Yes , he was signed to bat in the top of the order but he hasent done s*** to deserve that yet . If CC was at the top of the lineup for this time it would have f***ed the team with his atrocious start .

Glad you're not the manager of this team

Yes, Crawford sucks. And Pedroia has been scorching hot at the top of the lineup.

He had an 11 game hitting streak, then went 2-19 in a span of 5 games with tough pitchers. He's still hitting .300+ in May, so its hard to say he's been slumping.

That's what i exactly was asking... what is supposed to happen, in a measurable way, in order to move him up? avg? ops? or what? 25 days of May already gone and this month he's .308 avg and .780 OPS. If he is .294 avg & .775 OPS career player; again, what else is needed to happen to move him up in the lineup? another month with the same numbers? if that's the answer, it is ok for me, the thing is that TF hasn't said.

I'm not sure, this month he's .308 avg and .780 OPS, that's nothing?

Its good to see both Pedroia and Crawford hitting, its a good problem to have when you are trying to decide if you should hit Crawford or Pedroia hit at the top of the lineup. I hope both keep hitting, same with Salty, hes on fire too.

OPS in MAY is 668, and thats even from his monster game today

thats awfull . So, its not hard to say he's struggling

yes , he was hitting 300 in May ...with ONLY 2 of those hits for extra bases before today .

It a shame that you can't enjoy watching one of the games premier talents who is playing for your favorite team.

Here's the problem with moving CC up in the line-up. Theres no where for him to go. He's certainly not leading off with Elss hitting around .300 and stealing 17 bases. Pedroia is the emotional leader on the team and takes great at-bats in clutch spots so you defanitly want him getting to the dish 4-5 times a night. Gonzalez is our best hitter so he should hit 3rd, you want a guarentee that he's getting up in the 1st inning. Spots 4 and 5 arent a good spot for him because he doesnt have the power that Youk/Ortiz have. 6 is the farthest he moves up. If he hits 6th then he gets his RBI oppertunities with A-Gon, Youk hitting in front of him cause they're always on base. And if we hit Lowrie 7 then it opens Crawford up to get his steals again because Lowrie can hit with 2 strikes. Then we hit Salty and Drew 8th and 9th respectivley. Drew sucks across the board at the dish.

shame ? you're enjoying his play so far this year ?

I'll enjoy his play if he can produce the season he did last year over and over . Otherwise his contract is a complete bust

2. CC

3. Pedy

4. A-God

5. Youk

6.- Papi

7. Jed

8. Drew

9. Salty

Tito is waiting for somebody to wake him up. He now has a robot to change pitchers every inning for him.

Jesus, Crawford has 1 bad month and you are crucifying him lol. Since then he has 3 walk offs and is hitting over .300

Someone needs to turn that frown upside down.

ESPN doesn't update realtime, anyway...

My point was in what he's being doing last month, and as i said, if TF will move him up until he still the same pace one more month,it is ok for me, but i don't see when the time will come to see that happen, that's it. We can't keep as such talented player in that spot all season long, right?

He's under contract for 7 years we'll be alright.

Like I said , once he starts to play like he should be and is getting on base with more frequency, then yes I agree that he should be at the top of the order but for now I'd keep him where he is .

Prove me with some stats that shows that Crawford has been hitting better than Drew so far this year

The thing is, Crawford had a long slump that has affected his stat line. Drew is hitting roughly around where he will all year. Crawford has the edge on counting stats like hits/rbi/runs/steals.... because JD Drew simply doesn't produce big counting stats, he never has.
