You always have to get around to insulting the whole country. Of course, sports fans in other countries are so sophisticated and mature. They never would have riots at stadiums, nor would they kill officials of sporting events or participants. America sucks. You really should take up residence elsewhere if America annoys you so much.

I have to echo this. The 'tribal mentality', as you called it, of sports fans is not in any way unique to this country.

Generally, I agree. In this instance, though, I see nothing uncalled for.

 

One, nobody took credit for anything. Two, and more importantly, a lot of the celebration from the team's win today was directed at suns specifically because of behavior at an opposing team's forum. He got petulant and brought up "celebrating like they won the WS". At that point, I think he brought it upon himself to have his team's lack of success thrown in his face, because, quite frankly, he doesn't know what it's like to celebrate your team winning one.

Actually, I said that in response to him asking whether the question was serious, and not directed at the behavior of sports fans. I probably should say it again, in response to you missing the point of the statement, and going on one of your nationalism rants.

As far as your "nationalistic rant" remark, that is so far off base. I believe in less government, not more. I have little trust of governments that wield too much power, but I do believe the communities of Americans across this land are good and just. That is America, not the governmental entity. That is not a nationalistic sentiment in any way.
