Hell, best record in baseball and they STILL CANT sell out.

 

Been a fan for 19 years. If I don't watch the games, I listen to them on the radio. Have rarely missed a game. Bandwagon fan I am not.

 

Now suns on the other hand...

Crowds are getting bigger..Mostly terrible weather in Northeast Ohio..Once the weather gets hot consistently, you'll see some sellouts..

I'd love to go to tribe games... but I live in Ohio right now and the economy is terrible so I am broke as a joke. MLB wants way too much ($25 ticket x 4, $9 beer, $4 hotdog, $20 parking). (Plus I live an hour south of Cleveland and it would about $40 in gas... that's what $160 before hotdogs and beer... that's a hell of a steak, bottle of wine, and whatever else I want from my living room.)

 

I just watch them on the HDTV at home, nice and warm, dry, and great angles of the action.

 

I might go to a game or two this summer, but to be honest a trip to a game isn't worth it to me more than just a couple times.

Shouldn't you be able to get the games via the IHeartRadio app that clearchannel puts out there?

Its pretty weak that Guardians fans come over here to troll. Sellout your own stadium before you run your mouths.

A Lot of apps black out Major League Sports..I know my local station (WHBC-AM, Canton, Ohio) carries the Guardians games but not on their IPhone/IPod Touch app..

For a Sox game you are looking at 50 bucks a ticket, 9 dollar beer, 5 dollar dog, and 30+ dollars parking........and about 4 bucks for a bottle of water.

Bigger problem is we had great teams, great park, great owner, and responded with an over 450 game home sell-out streak. Then the Dolans came in and bought the team and now we have what I like to call the "Dolan Discounts" baseball team.

 

I'm sure some think it's nice to build on prospects and have a contender ever 4-6 years, but personally I liked 94-2000 when we spent the money and had a contender every year.

 

Red Sox fans, please back me on this... The Guardians went from having broken through and become a perennial team to talk about to the AAA club for the big spenders in MLB.

 

Think about it... All of these players were Guardians until we wouldn't pay them... Manny, Thome, Cliff Lee, CC Sabathia, Victor Martinez... want more? We're talking about an owner that openly comes to the mic and says he wants a $30 million a year payroll and our big spender year, this year, we're at what... $49 million? I think the Yankees and Red Sox spend more on battling practice equipment than we spend on pitching.

 

So my Red Sox fan friends... that's why Indian fans have walked away from the stadium. Our 450+ games were thanked by Dolan coming out and saying "we're not really going to try to put out a winning product unless we can accidentally fall into it with cheap young talent"

It's outrageous still... however considering the cost of living differences between the cities, it is way too close.

Why jump on these Guardians fans? They have come here and acted perfectly fine. No gloating or acting stupid. I don't mind them. It'd be cool if they'd stick around and actually discussed baseball with us in a nice civil matter unlike suns and his trolling.

Don't get me wrong I like them. They came here in a respectable manner and look like they want to talk baseball. I wouldn't care if they were a Yankees fan I'd take em. Every now and then we get fans from other teams post a couple times then poof. I hope this isn't this same case because these guys look cool to me.

just like some guys here said, for me is enrichment to have fans from other teams cause change the perspective/discussion/debate of the game, cause in the end... we watch the game as Red Sox fans.

 

btw i mentioned that, cause even when we were under .500 i don't remember TB's/O's/A's/BJ's fans around.

After blowing off some steam for a bit, I've got a couple thoughts on this game...

 

1. I don't blame Crawford for the loss in the slightest. It wasn't his fault that Tito pulled Buch out of the game with the lead and less than 100 pitches under his belt, nor was it his fault that "Bombs Away" Bard served up two meatballs for the Feather's best hitters to hammer home the winning runs. Hell without Crawford we wouldn't have even had a lead in the first place. Does it suck he hit into a DP? You betcha... but then again, that was more about bad luck than it was about a poor piece of hitting. Crawford smacked the ball hard right at OCab to start that DP... two feet to the right and it's a run scoring groundout at the worst or a RBI single at best and we're tied up with Lowrie standing on second.

 

2. Bard is really starting to worry me... seriously, something isn't right with him in the head. He doesn't seem to have that killer mentality that all good closers and most good set up guys have. It's like he's just out there throwing the ball to his buddies in the back yard f***ing around and not focusing on making the one pitch he needs to shut it down. He's got unbelievable stuff and yet more often than not as of late he's been nibbling the corners... f*** that... go after the batter and make them hit your best s***... 99 mph heat. Especially when they've got two strikes.

 

3. I love Francona. I really do. He's already one of the best managers in franchise history and I don't doubt that he'll get a 3rd if not a 4th ring before his time here is complete. That said, I've had just about enough of him micro-managing pitchers with artificial pitch counts made up on the spot and situational ******** like we saw tonight. There was no reason whatsoever to bring in Bard at that point in the game. None. Buch was under 100 pitches and wasn't laboring... he could have taken care of business just fine IMO. Even still, why not bring in Hill to face Brantley who's a lefty? Inning over if that happens. Instead it's Bard who s*** the bed once again.

 

4. Even though this loss blows big time, I'm not worried about things too much... we've got Beckett and Lester going the next two and I fully expect to see two solid wins in both of those games. We do that and we've got a road series win and more than likely have at least a share of first place headed out of the Mistake by the Lake.

 

Oh and Suns is still a douche... that is all

I just love it that when people make fun of me they turn the other cheek and when I make of them I get banned.

 

You might want to think about this before you do anything drastic.
