Albers isnt a starting pitcher. Hasnt been since 2008

he has shown consistency and arguments, give him the opportunity, If we gonna lose, I prefer with this guy than those bulks.

Aceves hasn't started since 2009' date=' and even then he started one game and went 3 1/3.[/quote']

I like that Rotation' date=' but i would sent Wake to BP and put Albers... And keep that way at least a couple of weeks and see how it works. For me, Lackey and D-K can stay @ DL all season long and give the opportunity to our farm to start games.[/quote']

Why the hell would we use Albers as a starter? When first of all he isn't a starter and second he has been our only reliable option in the pen besides Bard and Pap.

I would like to see Bowden and Dubront get a shot and I think Miller could have huge upside and is pitching well in the minors

Miller has no control. He's walked 24 in 30 innings.

The important question is not "is he a starter?", it is "can he be one?", he's around 28, i wouldn't say he's a rookie, and the most important thing, he has shown consitency and arguments to become one. I'll prefer all the times gain a starter than lose a reliefer and mostly given the circunstances ("DLs") and poor performances (ERAs) of Lacky, D-K and Wake (use them as a reliefers if u want after the DL but not as starters plese). What can you lose? Send him back to the BP?, What can you win? A decent starter.

Any experiment at this point is better than D-K, Lackey and Wake.

So he has Dice-k's control but can throw harder' date=' we have put up with Dice-K why not Miller?[/quote']

When you say, "he has D-Ks control", seems to me like he has control, and D-K Matsuzaka has not control and command at all, thats why he walked 9 people the other day and he's been Walking a lot in the past... If he has that "control" and throw harder, what u would see For sure are walks, but now, by a hit my friend.

We don't need another walker-pitcher throwing harder.

Nobody remembers the GT rules. It saddens me. The team needs the mojo!

Did someone try to start today's other than BPEF????

And often times the offenders are people who have been here long enough to know the rules. We should seriously post a sticky note about it.

Everyone always mentions the possibility of a sticky, but no one ever has the guts to do it. That's a thread that will last forever, I know I don't want that kind of pressure.

Can't a mod just make it "unsticky" once he feels like it's served its purpose?

I'm a newbie and a longtime poster. My join date trumps a lot of you but my post count doesn't.

We kind of need a new gamethread for today. Whats the practice is a poster fails to follow through on a winning series of gamethreads?

8:00 - 75%

9:00 - 100%

10:00 - 60%

11:00 - 70%

I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but man I just cannot see us getting this game in. This storm is absolutely brutal.

EDIT: Then again, this is the Tigers only trip to Fenway this year. They basically have to get it in.

Rainouts two days in a row? Oh man, that's not good. I'll probably have to go read a book or something<_>
