You know' date=' regardless of whether they come out of it or not, a 2-9 start is gonna bite is the ass later down the road.[/quote']

Agreed.

I thought losing the first 3 games was bad enough, being the worst team in baseball is humiliating.

Especially with this much talent on the roster. 100 wins? ha, at this point we'll be lucky to hit 80

It will just be 10x more pleasurable when the Sox win the World Series guys. LOL, nah, I'm just kidding. You are the biggest bunch of whiney bitches I've ever seen in all of sports. Not to mention your team is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo over hyped every year you should be expecting a let down pretty much every season. You are expecting to be the Yankees, but there is one problem with that, there is one one best team and you will never be it :D

Have a nice night faggots.

Bro we just beat your teams ass all weekend what the f*** does that say about your squad. Keep riding the bandwagon you f***ing spankee

This is entirely on the players.

I know it is. But the players can't be fired for sucking ass. Managers can. s*** always rolls down hill, and seeing as there's no way Epstein gets canned, the next guy up for a fall on the sword is Francona. I don't like it and don't think it will happen, but if this s*** keeps up, the pressure will be on Epstein from ownership to make a move.

I don't know if Tito can do much except fiddle with lineups. He isn't Knute Rockne.

You can bet there are players upset right now. They need some leadership to get out of the rut.

Where they get it--hard to say.

The first thing they should do is name Pedroia captain. Tek is history.

The team lost 10 in a row near the end of spring training. Nobody noticed. They should have.

That lineup still hasn't gelled.

Enjoy your 4 game lead dickface-- while it lasts. When it is gone make sure to show your face here so we can all shove a giant dildo up your ass.

When a whole team sucks, it's the management. They are doing something wrong.

The team isn't prepared mentally. And the fundamentals suck. Plus they are carrying deadwood.

This team is really hurting my soul right now. Even BAD Red Sox teams aren't this bad. It is totally and absolutely incomprehensible.

I'm still confident that there will be a point where they are on a roll and everyone says that people have to watch out for the Red Sox, but at 7 games below .500 and 2-9 there is simply no explaination.

There is no ascention to the mean happening here. Everything that could be going wrong seems to go wrong, in various combinations, to utterly destroy anything that is going right. Good pitching? No offense. Decent offense? Bad pitching. It just sucks and is really hard to watch.

I don't know how to be a fan of this team, and I was so excited about them two weeks ago.

Looking at Redsox.com and seeing advertisements for tickets rings really, really hollow right now.

It's pretty bleak right now. I still think they can pull out a playoff season, but it's gonna be tough to say the least.

Sox have to go 93-58 over the remainder of the season to win 95 games this year, which would most likely win the division, if not the wild card. Essentially, they'll need to go at least 17-10 every month from here out to get there.

It's doable, but the margin for error is minimal and one bad month in the middle of the season will make it next to impossible.

We have an incredible team. It's just a matter of meshing into our true potential and maintaining the skill level that our players are so acclaimed for. Things will brighten up.

Come on guys let's not break out the suicide pills just yet!

We're only 11 games into a 162 game season. The race has barely begun. Terry Francona knows what he's doing and has proved it time and again. Let's keep a bit of faith in him and other born winners like Pedroia and Youk.

This team WILL get hot. I know it sucks right now and that 2-9 does not look good but we are the Red Sox. Keep the Faith!

I know spent all day in Jan trying to get tickets to the Sox on the fourth of July when I am in town and when I got them I was pretty excited to get good seats at face value since the last couple years I spent way too much to see them in Fenway. I could not wait to go see A gon, carl and all the boys healthy and winning again. This really is tough to stomach but I have to believe things will turn

I almost wish that I could drink enough to think that the Red Sox were doing well this year' date=' although I'd probably succumb to alcohol poisoning by then.[/quote']

You'd be dead a few times over.

I want to be one of the fans that was still believing even when we were at our lowest moments. I always watch that DVD of the sox 2003 season when Boone hit the homer and in the locker room after Mike Timlin is still positive somehow and says Believe in Boston Believe in the Sox!!! Next season he was there when we pulled the greatest comeback in the history of sports

You can thank Theo for that.

At this point, I'm hopeful for a 10-6 stretch to finish off April, leaving us 12-15 and within striking distance of the division lead headed into May. Anything less makes it that much more difficult to catch up, especially in this division.

Here's the series breakdown for the rest of the month:

- 4 games vs. Toronto (Home)

- 2 games vs. Oakland (Road)

- 4 games vs. Anaheim (Road)

- 3 games vs. Baltimore (Road)

- 2 games vs. Seattle (Home)

I suspect we can take at least split the series against Toronto, Oakland, and Anaheim. If we can play well in Baltimore and win that series, then come home to finish the month with two straight wins against a terrible Mariners team, that gives us a 9-7 finish to the month and a 11-16 start to the year.
