The sample size is way too small to make an accurate judgment. Everyone can have a few bad games.

Give it time.

Calm down man. Let the first month play out before you start worrying too much. Lester always Sucks in April. Buchholz pitched well, but gave up 4 solo shots. And Lackey was crap against a hot offense. There is really no shockers to this point. This type of stuff is going to happen. They weren't going 162-0 even with all the hype they were getting this spring. The pitchers won't be aces every time out.

The Red Sox being 0-3 and people are panicking. Are we also giving the WS to the 3-0 Orioles?

Thing is, this team sucks. Everyone expected it to be better but in actuality the team isn't. Sure there were big name acquisitions, but the upgrades those acquisitions make are minimal. The rotation is a crap shoot and the bullpen is a giant question mark. It will be a struggle all this season just like last year, and we'll be lucky to come out on top. It may be april 4th, and there may be 159 games left but every game counts. They've had all spring to get their s*** together and they obviously haven't. It's a shame. a 200 million dollar rebuilding year is ahead

Everybody needs to chill the f*** out. It's a three game losing streak. Every team has them. This happened to be in the beginning of the season. It'll be okay. The 1998 Yankees lost their first three games, too.

Wow. 3 bad starts and all of a sudden this team sucks. You do realize that Texas slugged .775 as a team, right? They couldn't miss. Just ran into a hot team.

The acquisitions may be minimal in comparison to the players they are replacing, that is a fair statement.

Last year Pedroia, Youkilis, Ellsbury and Cameron were all hurt.

The rotation is also healthier this year than last.

Bullpen is a question mark, but at least we have some new faces down there.

Last years team, while a disappointment in the end.....was still much better than most give credit for and 1/3 of the lineup was hurt and 2/5 of the rotation missed significant time.

Lets be fair here, give them a couple weeks. They played like absolute garbage this weekend...they are much better than that effort.

You are probably one of those guys saying that this team will 100 games. Well, they wont.....they might not even win the division, I think people got a little crazy throwing out projections.....regardless, this team is a very good team and will be in the playoffs with between 94-96 wins.

DALLAS — It's interesting to note at this, Red Sox Nation's hour of need, that you need only to turn your lonely eyes to the Bronx for solace.

The 1998 Yankees won 114 games and the World Series that season. Guess what? They were 0-3 to start the season, getting outscored 21-6 by Oakland and Anaheim. After a 1-4 start, they went 113-44.

Nobody is projecting the Sox for 114 wins. The point is that even a great team can stumble out of the gate. That doesn't mean you panic.

Off to Cleveland. Catch you later on.

Dont jump Quite yet.

haha, I wasn't serious at all. It's been 3 games. I am not concerned one bit. The Orioles are 4-0, We're 0-3, The Yankees were 0-3 and won 114 games before, and this is the first series. I see nothing to be worried about. Come May if things are like this then I'd be worried.

Yeah really, wtf.. With the s*** he spews sometimes I'm beginning to think he's just a proctologist.

I can't find the stats anywhere but I remember one thing.

4 teams have started 0-3 and won the world series.

In 1998 the yankees started 0-3 and won the world series

Just like everything else you have to take it in stride. There are some arms worth worrying about and some that will be just fine. Way to early to be worried in my eyes. Albiet they could have made better use of spring training at times it seemed like they were aloof. Guess I'm saying this slow start didn't shock me. It will be ok.

A history lesson for despondent Red Sox fans from . . . the Yankees

It's still very early, though I'm a little upset that easy-going Tito didn't have this team ready to go into Texas and kick ass. That's his strength--and weakness.

Thing about Francona is yes he is a cup cake easy going coach. But he's a good coach overall. I could only immagine this town with out him. We'd still be waiting for a ring.

However I do agree with your point. All spring training long they seemed to be losing. So they do seem a little out of game shape if you can call it that.

haha wow. I almost thought you were serious. Then I saw that your join date was 2005 and realized that no veteran could possibly actually make this statement.

I think the reason the pitching is bad is because of Salty. Beckett is pitching really good today and the only real change from his last start is that Jason Varitek is catching now. Hopefully Salty will get better, but I think the Sox might want to find a new catcher.
