In all honesty, I don't think the pitch was that bad. The other HR's looked to be off fastballs up and near the middle, but this one was off a curveball that was down near the knees and off the plate inside. I'm surprised that Napoli kept it fair. Sure, the curveball could have been a little lower, but it was still a ball unlike the other HR's which were basically begging to be hit out of the park. Sometimes the hit is more due to the hitter than a mistake by the pitcher.

Yup. Let them lose a couple games early on, and listen to the whining reach the heavens.

 

Couple of notes:

 

1)Crawford has looked lost against Wilson. He's never fared well against lefties, and this was my main point of contention against the signing. Something tells me that sig a700 uses to ridicule me may prove me right, dude can't hit lefties.

 

2)Not a fan of Ortiz in against the lefty with Drew sitting. Drew should be playing right with Cameron DH'ing against the tough lefty.

 

3)The Lester early struggles ******** is tiring. Let's hope he pulls it together and makes a legitimate run for the Cy this year.

 

4)Adrian Gonzales is a super-star.
