Okay, Captain Has-been got his hit, now after wading through the ******** bound to be permeating through ESPN and MLBN tonight celebrating it, we're out of the woods with the media coverage. Thank God, I'd be happy for him if he wasn't wearing that uniform.

I hate the Yankees just as much as you do BornToRun but you have to respect what Jeter has done. Btw how did the kid manage to get the ball to Jeter? Did they look for him and ask him for the ball or what?

 

Sorry, can't do it. I hate them too damn much. He's good, but that doesn't mean I have to respect and/or like him.

You should judge players by the context of their character, not just by the color of their uniform. Jeter has always done things the right way and certainly deserves some level of respect.

MLBN is already fondling his scrotum over it. He's a great player, no doubt about it but damn. Imagine how much it'll suck when A-Rod does it. Jeter's an okay dude, I just hate him because he plays for NYY. But Rodriguez, f*** him.

Jeter has always been a class act. And he's played the game the right way. I'm happy for him. The only Yankee to ever reach 3,000 hits is a pretty big deal when you consider the history of the franchise.
