Silva was pretty good. The Yanks have Millwood and Silva in the minors. They have Colon and Garcia on the big league team. And they have a system chock full of big league pitching talent. Someone will click if they have to bypass Hughes. I just hope they find that person before the roof caves in

Ayala' date=' in his second inning of work, going through the heart of the order ... ugh.[/quote']

Ayala second time through is not good, but I dont disagree with putting him back out there. If he struggles, Mo goes in

But just like with Nova in the 5th, Ayala won't get through this inning. He'll have to go to Mo at some point, might as well be to start the inning.

Definitely thanks to some good fortune. I do have a feeling Nova throws very well this yr. I do think we might hear about a blister after todays performance based upon him literally chewing on his pitching hand. Either that, or he's just a weird guy who chews on his pitching hand.

BTW, keep an eye on St. Louis. They are 2-5 and without their ace for the season. I have a very strong feeling that Carpenter will be our #3 come the end of the season, behind CC and Burnett

Yeah, it's funny, because I like STL, but I'm rooting against them because Carpenter seems like a good target for the Yankees.

That change was exactly where Martin wanted it. Good piece of hitting. It didnt dive like is usually does' date=' but he isnt hanging it[/quote']

It's practically useless if it doesn't dive ... because it's his primary put-away pitch vs righties (and he never throws it vs lefties).

Probably talking about the long Tex foul' date=' but it was so far foul that I would hardly call it lucky.[/quote']

Yeah, that's what I was getting at if that is what he's talking about. He had him way out in front of it. Messing up their timing is good pitching.

When was the other one?

Tex hit one juust foul earlier. And now another hard shot just off the left field line. Lots of hard hit balls, and no results so far. I'm loving this game so far though.
