I don't think that anyone would have predicted this, but it looks like Forsyth has the best rotation to date, with CJ Wilson, Jeremy Hellickson, Josh Beckett, Jair Jurrjens, and Alexi Ogando in the bullpen. (I'm assuming that Forsyth would put him in the rotation and Ryan Dempster in the bullpen)

**I had nothing better to do lol

Whoa' date=' what? How'd Dipre get himself banned? Fighting on the forum?[/quote']

This was a lot of fun, and while I'd love to take all of the credit, many people helped with the organization and this was Dipre's idea. Unfortunately, now that I have a full time job, I don't have the time to run these like I did earlier. That said, I'd love to do another football one, especially since we have some new posters here (and on TalkPats)

I think at this point, if you care, you should post stats from your players throughout the season. I'm going to post mine at some point, I doubt there will be a vote (especially since Dipre is banned) but it'll be neat to compare stats. If you guys still want to do a vote tournament then I'm sure it can work out, although it'll drag out for a really long time.

If need be, I'll go into more detail with some players (since some of the bad players/pitchers actually have decent platoon splits)

My bullpen was lights out. Without even looking at everyone else's roster, I would venture to say I easily had the best pen in the league.

Ernesto Frieri: 1-2, 4 holds, 63 innings, 2.71 ERA, 1.349 WHIP, 7.3 H/9, 0.4 HR/9, 10.9 K/9

Takashi Saito: 4-2, 10 holds, 26 2/3 innings, 2.03 ERA, 1.125 WHIP, 7.1 H/9, 7.8 K/9

Kenley Jansen: 2-1, 5 saves, 1 BS, 9 holds, 53 2/3 innings, 2.85 ERA, 1.043 WHIP, 5.0 H/9, 16.1 K/9

David Robertson: 4-0, 34 holds, 66 2/3 innings, 1.08 ERA, 1.125 WHIP, 5.4 H/9, 0.1 HR/9, 13.5 K/9

Jeremy Affeldt: 3-2, 3 saves, 3 BS, 13 holds, 61 2/3 innings, 2.63 ERA, 1.151 WHIP, 6.9 H/9, 7.9 K/9

Chris Sale: 2-2, 8 saves, 2 BS, 16 holds, 71 innings, 2.79 ERA, 1.113 WHIP, 6.6 H/9, 10.0 K/9

Heath Bell: 3-4, 43 saves, 5 BS, 62 2/3 innings, 2.44 ERA, 1.149 WHIP, 7.3 H/9, 7.3 K/9

My rotation was so-so. Dan Haren (6.4 WAR) had an excellent year. Jon Lester (3.7 WAR) had a good season, but it was a down year for him. Brett Anderson got hurt. Colby Lewis was decent but nothing special. Would have been better if he hadn't given up so many gopher balls. Jhoulys Chacin had a bad 2nd half.

My everyday players were a mixed bag. Mark Teixeira (4.2 WAR), David Ortiz (4.2 WAR), Justin Upton (6.4 WAR), and Carlos Gonzalez (4.1 WAR) is a beastly middle of the order. David Wright was hurt and had a down year. Gordon Beckham sucked but was solid at 2B. Rafael Furcal sucked and was hurt. Chris Iannetta (3.3 WAR) and Ryan Hanigan were a decent combo of catchers. Denard Span sucked and was hurt. Nick Markakis had a decent year, but it was nothing special. Ryan Raburn was mediocre, had a good 2nd half. I got excellent value in Danny Espinosa (3.5 WAR) with my last pick.

When I looked at the rotations around midyear, I think that Forsyth had the best starting 5, despite the fact that I think he had one of the worst rotations after the draft.

Yeah, and Brian Matusz was about as bad as possible. I can't believe that the Orioles still threw him out there to pitch. After a while, isn't it their fault for even trying?
