Votto wins by a large margin(443 points 31 first place votes) over Albert Pujols(279 points 1 first place vote) and Carlos Gonzalez(240 points 0 first place votes).

 

 

I'm surprised Votto won by so much. I believe he is the deserving party. But I figured Pujols would get more 1st place votes and Cargo would at least get a couple.

Same. I wasn't expecting Votto to win by so many votes. He did deserve it though.

This is a good sign. This, plus the AL Cy Young award, makes me think that maybe they are finally trying to look past the names and get into who actually made a case for an award. Now if only they could figure out that Jeter hasn't deserved a GG since I graduated high school, everything would be perfect.

I'm glad Cargo didn't get votes. Tulo was the better player by far, while Cargo appeared to be aided heavily by Coors Field (he was pretty mediocre on the road, while he was pretty much a deity at Coors).

 

Votto deserved it though, I thought he'd walk away with it, but I expected Pujols to get a few more votes.
